Sony E3 Conference 2015

Man, this conference was stuff of legends.
I'm glad I stayed up until 5:30 AM and watched a legendary conference where The Last Guardian was the opening game, Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced, and Shenmue 3 launched on Kickstarter.
Everything they showed was awesome. Horizon... I haven't been excited for a game like this since Bayonetta. TLG... amazing. FFVIIR... memories! Dreams, UC4, Shenmue III, everything was legendary. And those cheers... It would be mentioned in "best E3 reactions?" threads forever.

Bit disappointed that a Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement didn't happen at MS or Sony's conferences. WB not showing up to tease any future projects was a little strange too, given how their games are tearing up charts lately and they don't have a dedicated conference themselves.

Uncharted 4 has me excited and horizon has my attention, kinda interested in Shenmue 3. conference was a solid 7 out of 10 for me.

Horizon is supposed to be an RPG. Plus the ps4 is getting some euro style RPGs like arcania.

Great conference as a owner of both consoles I found the PS4 conference way more exciting , even though I'm not a shenmue or final fantasy fan there was still plenty to keep me hooked
- ms halo and gears just looked boring
- uncharted play through was way better then tomb raider
- ms had a lot of awkward indie presentations with not a lot to show
Anyone know if journey release was announced anywhere ?

Huh? That's not how KS works, it only funds if it raises the $2 million in the time period (31 more days). But it can raise more than that, and in fact they do have stretch goals. They'll collect pledges for an entire month.
edit: And I'm sure once it's made (~2017) it'll be available on Steam and PSN, if not a physical retail release as well.

As opposed to open world games like the horizon demo, yea. That's not by any means a bad thing. I love uncharted and can't wait for uc4.

I agree. It would be amazing of that world they showed was open, but having played Uncharted before and the amount of detail in some of those back streets he was blasting down leads me to believe it will just funnel you along a set path.
If it weren't I would be pleasantly surprised.

Okay I was left feeling a little flat after the MS conference. There was a lot there but not really to my personal taste. Sony pretty much nailed it. 3 huge hitters, all of which were either thought dead or almost dead. Really great stuff. And they spread out the awesomeness throughout. Only parts of the whole thing I didn't like were the Assassins Creed and COD bits but I realise they need their blockbusters up there. Also, MM Dreams looked very odd and I really didn't get it at all. Overall though really, really strong conference that gives us all a lot to look forward to

It was by far the best E3 conference of all time tbh.
Sony is delivering fans those beloved AA franchises from the past which is just.. the absolute best thing way to treat the hardcore, and at the same time, now it's the market leader, it's got the mainstream sewn up eg. CoD.
This gen completely belongs to Sony if they keep up this strategy for the gen.
I mean if we see another Crash and Ape Escape and whatnot, I just.. I don't know what will happen, no company in this industry has ever had so much goodwill.
I also understand why the Disney bit was included, I feel like you guys are starting to build the PS4 as a platform that children can also enjoy and I think that's great. The amount of coverage in this E3 was ideal, the only risk is that if Sony turn around and decide the hardcore and mainstream are in the bag and they can just focus on kids at the show, I just don't think E3 is the place for that - but I do think it's a great strategy and I do hope it means we see broad appeal classics like the new R&C ie. Pixar type titles that will be loved by both young and old.

This one and 2013's were epic, i legit teared up and sobbed watching both... yes i'm a softie.
I don't know how big it is, but Horizon looks like it fits the bill. I'd love to see a a big jRPG on the new gen. And by 'big' I mean graphically impressive and fairly large.
Horizon looks absolutely nuts. I just re-watched the video and it looks top notch.
Tell them that CT and XG fans exist too...We want a XG remake and CT sequel >.>

I think it might have been one of the best conferences of all time lol. I mean, the triple punch with FFVIIR (my fave game of all time!), Shenmue 3 and TLG. A single game from this illusive but legendary trio would have been a megaton, but all three in one conference? WAT. Even outside of the trio, there were some solid games shown, exclusive and multi platform alike, that all showcased really well, such as Horizon, Uncharted 4, Battlefront, Dreams, No Man's Sky, Arkham Knight, Firewatch, Street Fighter V etc. Just altogether epic stuff, and to the point.

Yeah I think Horizon is being overshadowed by the megaton announcements. That game impressed the hell out of me, it was absolutely gorgeous.
I also feel bad for that indie studio that got sandwiched between the FF VII Remake and Shenmue 3 kickstarter announcements. That was a bit of a misstep by Sony.

- Uncharted 4 is Uncharted - always been a fan of the series. But that was hardly a 'big surprise'.
But no GT7? What on earth are PD doing? T10 have released 6 full titles in the space PD have released 3. At this rate, Forza 7 or 8 will be out before GT7.
The only new game that I'm interested in is Horizon.

Yeah, they really did a fantastic job this year, gotta give it to 'em. Three huge announcements for games that were barely more than memes at this point and the most impressive looking new IP of E3 so far (Horizon). Not bad at all.
Only downer was the eye rolling Call of Duty shit. They don't need early DLC for that, just getting it day and date would have been more than enough. Just felt so unnecessary.
