Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

When does it show up/unlock?

You can buy it for stars/points when you join the game. Its 100 points each.

The wormhole ability activations stack, and you get more points the higher level you get.
So the idea is:
Join a new room, buy only wormholes and use them all.
This will get you to a higher level than before.
Which will give you more points to buy wormholes.
Then start a new room and buy even more wormholes than before.
Rinse and repeat.

I am getting to the point that i will need an autoclicker just to buy all the wormholes.
DPS/clicks dont matter for this strategy. They are actually bad because they kill the boss faster which gives you less time to stack wormholes. One of the main problems with the first rooms was to get people to understand this because they were using autoclickers and messing up the strategy.

Yeah, that and the fact DMC4 isn't even on sale made me groan.

Edit:

Is DmC worth picking up? Surprised to see it at Overwhelmingly Positive when it got such bad press.

It is a great, fun action game that is worth playing, especially when its on sale. It isn't a great DMC game and if it were never called DMC people would look a lot more fondly on it.

That being said, none of this matters when DMC4:SE is releasing next week for 25 bucks with five playable characters and some of the best gameplay in the history of character action games

Guys, help me out.

I bought Dishonored, but only the regular version. Should I buy the DLC? How long are they? Are they sequels to the story or side stories?

Also, should I ask for a refund on the regular version (I played a little over 2 hours though) and buy the GOTY version? That would be cheaper than buying the DLC separetely. Can I use my save from the regular version in the GOTY version?

No idea on the saves, but the two story DLC are well worth getting. They're side-stories to the main game, but thoroughly designed to be played after you complete the main game; different character, different set of powers, seeing some of the events of the game from a different perspective, but with a different narrative focus. I thought they were excellent.

I would definitely try for a refund! When you do there is a notes box, just stick in there that you wanted to buy the GoTY edition instead and hadn't realised otherwise.

Also copy and paste you save file to the desktop, should work.

You guys are experts in this, so is there any chance that Life Is Strange will be on any sale?
It's not even discounted right now, so I think it won't, but...

Looks like Nuuvem currently has it discounted for around $10 for the complete season.

Literally unplayable unless you have a Dinput controller. And even then, sometimes the game will just break and reinstalls won't fix it.

There is an xinput patch.

The issues with the DMC3 port are overblown. Yes, there are a few issues, but they are fixable with a few mods.

You guys should check out Phantom Breaker. Really cool beat-em-up if you're into that. Kicks the shit out of Gauntlet.

It's 3 bucks at the moment.

Talos Principle is really cool so far. Cleared the first area, puzzles have been mostly quick but some of the red ones have been real bastards. There's this level called
Deception
with a really cool fake out that had me stumped for a good 10 minutes.

The game has me questioning whether or not I'm actually a machine too

Is there a reliable way to get card drops from the stupid game? I used to get them from starting new games but I don't think I've had any drops at all for 2-3 days now.

Hero Siege is addictive as all hell.

Twin-stick "shooter" with rogue-lite elements plus Diablo phat loot and branching skill-trees.

Freeze status effects are ridiculous though. Pretty much a guaranteed death every time.

Question.

Do I have to open ports or do something special to find matches in Borderlands 2?

Ever since I bought it, the game has been completely empty for me, unless everyone on Steam are top level, rare-item looters.

But seriously, the game has been completely dead ever since I bought it about a year ago. :/

Just capped this before the game went down. Insane. I'm not in that group, was just watching it on Twitch...

Your best bet for getting in a good Monster game seems to be to join immediately after the refresh. I've seen some of my Steam friends join later on in the day and their games won't make it past 1000 before it's over.

So Gal Civ 3, do people think it is worth it for mostly single-player? I like 4X in general, but haven't played one in a while, and like the space locale. Is it relatively accessible? Just wondering what people think of the condition of the game at this point for solo play. I have a laptop with an i7 and 8GB 680m, I hope that's sufficient, but it seems like some people have lag and performance issues.

I'm in a game that just jumped from 2000 to 11000 in 5 seconds. What the hell is going on?

Edit: Just jumped from 12000 to 15000 in one frame. OK then.

It's all the auto scripts and level warp jumps. I've been in for 5 minutes and we're already at 1000 now. I'm just letting it do its thing.

Got 2 cards for joining this time.

So did I. Luck is finally looking up with this thing.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a couple more people to join in on a PZ 4-pack ($29.99, works out to $7.50 per copy). The devs seem like good guys & apparently this price is about as low as its going to get until they're ready to work on a sequel in a couple years...so its as good a time as any to check the game out. If anyone is interested let me know!

Opinions (good or bad) on the game are always welcome too...there's still 14 hours to go for the discount.

Hey buddy, Ill jump in on the 4 pack with you!

OK, that makes #3...

Got a link to the game?

Could a UK gaffer get in on this?

EDIT: Project Zomboid I assume? If a UK gaffer can partake then sure I will :)

...and that makes #4...

Unless I hear from one of you guys saying you changed your mind, I'll pull the trigger on the 4-pack here in a few minutes :)

I only have Gal Civ 2, but that's already one of the best 4X games out there. Reviews seem to indicate that 3 is more of the same but better.

I can't believe what I just did lol.
I used to sell all my Sale cards at the last days just to craft one for the particular sale.
These past few days I've just been selling them lol.
