Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Broken Age is worth it for $10 IMO.
Really enjoyed my time with it.
It's not even as bad some people claim it to be, play it for yourself and see if you end up liking it.

I only cared about Ori and Axiom Verge.

Got Ori, so one title remaining.

If it's true that it won't go on sale until Fall, i'll wait for the winter sales then.

What's the deal with that fucking spinning blue circle/mouse cursor while playing MGS Ground Zeroes? I did a search and people are saying to move it to the edge of the screen (where it's still visible), turn off windows aero (doesn't work), download a mod (wtf).

Oh that wasn't just me then.

I bought that game after selling a hundred or so cards in 24 hours which was nice.

Spent some time playing Forced with my partner too, which was pretty good too. Not a bad sale for me really.

Lol, as soon as I noticed it wouldn't go away I immediately went to the discussion forums, only to find there's no easy fix.

That annoying glitch aside, loving GZ. At the sale pricepoint it is very much worth it. Looking forward to Kojima's magnum opus.

They have got to find a better way of doing these sales then having dailies and flash sales. Almost everybody knows to wait for a daily so whats the point of having a lower discount? Somewhere along the line its an inconvenience for 95% of the people who are actually waiting. They need to find another way getting their daily clicks.

Just finished the Vanishing of Ethan Carter, pretty pleased with it despite it's short playtime. As everyone knows its visually gorgeous and runs pretty damn well even on lower end rigs, it's a pretty decently optimized game.

I never really got lost though and only had to look online once for a really obscure achievement.

I really liked a lot of the puzzles and thought they were very well put together, the "stories" were the high point for me which varied up the game play and really provided some amazing spectacles. I can't really describe anything in detail without ruining it for people.

Definitely worth the money I spent buying it on this steam sale.

Anyone interested in the genre should spent that money and play it. Not everyone will like it, but it sure is a special game with a lot of thought put into it, a really funny script, great art and a great set of characters.

Is Dungeon Defenders 2 a good idea? I never could get into the first one because the whole system was kind of clunky - not to mention the flood of DLC that came shortly after.

I was waiting for the encore day to get The Evil Within and found a better deal on Gamesplanet (uk,de,fr).

I got it from Spain form the german page and everything worked fine. Don't know if it's available for other regions.

They also have good prices on Rome 2: Total War, Cities Skylines, and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, but I don't know if they are better deals than the Steam dailies.

Edit: Also a much better deal on Pillars of Eternity.

Hold on, MGSV: Ground Zeroes is basically a demo and they're asking money for it?!
You're about a year late with this trolling shit.

Also, you should get it. It's an awesome game. Calling it a demo with that amount of content is an insult.

Won't deny the pinch of trolling in my last post. Tried to informed myself before making a purchase. Lot of people in Steam gave negative reviews stating that it's basically a prologue for The Phantom Pain with one single map/environment and that's it.

What items should I be buying with my badge things every day when the clicker game resets? Which is the best investment?
The ones that don't drop take priority, especially Wormhole. Only use on 100th stages though (using them outside of that is akin to nuking a boss, a foolish thing that people do anyway) as each one used skips 10 stage. Large numbers of players with hundreds of these each to use is why people are able to get level 100 million (which seems to be the end). Maybe like new (reset everyones cooldown, also helps apply the wormholes) or lucky dip as well.
Following that are raining gold then crit.

It's one extremely well done map, with lot's of replayability. Well worth $5.

This time Baldur's Gate 1 EE is part of the sale. (Last time only BG2 and Icewind Dale EE were.). Grabbed it, thus completing my collection of EE games I will probably never play! ;-)

Guys how is BlazBlue CSE?

Is the netcode any good?

I honestly wouldn't bother until we know if Arc is going to port Chorono Phantasma Extend. They seem like they're going to given the reception of Guilty Gear: XX: Accent Core +R, but who knows.

100% Ground Zeroes will take you 12-20 hours if you don't use a guide. That's far from a "demo."

Tangentially related to this thread, the sale at GOG.com appears to be winding down because they've put everything back on sale ... including Trails in the Sky for 50% off ($10), DRM free.

Tried out Transistor. I knew the aesthetic/music/etc. would be great but had heard mixed things about the combat. Loving it personally, enjoy the real-time/turn based hybrid and I hadn't read about the ability combination system which seems fun.

Might be hard to stick to my plan of keeping everything under 2 hours until the next round of Humble Bundles.
