Suicide Squad trailer is hella early. Can't exactly put any SFX shots in these types of trailers, so it's a big limit in what they can do.

It's also why that trailer won't pop up online.

I take it the Red Son Batman is a nightmare "future vision" of Bruce's paranoia if Superman went unchecked, especially given you can see the ruins of Wayne Manor in the vision when Batman emerges from the cave/bunker:

Assault on Arkham actually played with the idea of Harley's questionable loyalty towards the Squad. I expect this movie to do the same.

Yeah...but I mean if you are Amanda Waller and you are trying to take down the Joker, why would you put someone on the team who the Joker seduced into becoming one of his followers? It seems like a terrible tactical decision to me. Unless they are reworking her origin, but her being the Joker's psychiatrist before she turns nuts is a pretty important part of her character IMO

Seems like Wonder Woman was fighting someone else and not Supes.

Fair warning, unless you really love knowing the whole plot of things before you see them, you probably shouldn't read this spoiler.

She's fighting
Doomsday, the result of an attempt to clone Zod.

What the hell is going on here? This stood out to me the most in the trailer as weird. I have to know the context to this. Batman in suit, but also wearing pants and a coat looks kind of goofy. Then the soldiers have S-badges on their arms. Is this coming from any source material?

I'm guessing it's just a hypothetical situation Batman imagines occurring if Superman isn't stopped here, to justify himself engaging Superman. A world where Superman is worshiped as a God and rules as a tyrant.

I'm doubting their mission is to go after the Joker. ARGUS has bigger interests than an urban serial killer.

So who is Lex talking to when he says the whole "god vs. man" lines, from the background it looks like it's happening at the same time as the fight itself and he's just giving some kind of commentary over it.

Even Lex knows that shit is cool.

I assume the "you let your family die" thing was from Joker. Which means he knows Batman's identity?
No, because Jason died.

Maybe I'm too cynical, but this looks like the worst movie ever. That lex.

He's talking to the audience, because these movies were made to produce trailers.

Man, I don't know if I want to see some weird Mad Max Superman world that Batman daydreams about. That sounds way too literal a way to explain Bruce's mindset.

Looks like he's talking to the senator the trailer opens on. I'm guessing he's trying to get the US Government to let him conduct some tests/access resources to take down Superman.

Nice find if those are indeed the ruins of Wayne Manor and not just a generic ruined building.

I never clocked on that the derelict wayne manor could be part of the future nightmare but that does make more sense.

Most likely a dream/hallucination. Like if Superman ruled the world and those men are his army.

Unless Joker massively screwed her over prior to the events of the movie. Granted, she always forgives him eventually, but Waller may use Salty Harley to her advantage.

Oh sure, even if it somehow bombs in the US they'll kill it internationally. That was more of a self-centered "why spend so much money on something that doesn't interest me personally" comment. :p

I thought that was exclusively a gaming side thing

So bad...looks like two things.
1) a child smashing his toys together and play acting a story they made up.
2) wonder woman, joker notes remind me of some batman fan film from a few years ago where there are a bunch of character cameos for no reason.

I dont read other peoples opinions because when something new like this releases their nerd hard ons are unrealistically huge but i cant imagine anyone watching this and thinking it looks good, unless you are like 9 years old.

I don't think that line is from that conversation with the Senator. He's openly talking about pitting Batman and Superman against each other, clearly, so I can see that being some flowery villain monologue for Mercy's benefit or something.

Pretty sure WW fights the real bad guy of the movie, while Supe and Bat fight each other, then they end up joining up and fighting with WW against the baddie.

lol, trying too hard

Never really been a fan of Affleck, but he is without a doubt the highlight of this movie.

I still think the concept of "vs" is a little weird, and I so want to be convinced by Wonder Woman (she's the goddamn Wonder Woman!!), but I'm not sold on her or Gaddot.

Looks interesting, but still fear the movie will suck.

"The red capes are coming" is definitely from a different part where he is talking to that senator, looks like the same scene as he talks about "the oldest lie in america".

But the "Black and Blue, God vs. Man, Day vs. Knight" lines are in a different location that looks to be during the same time Batman and Supes are fighting.

Hey everyone look at me I'm going against the grain and you're all immature with bad taste but I'm not going to address your points because I don't care!

Might be the worst post of this thread, and given that this is a Snyder thread, that's saying something.
