No one cares about Superman.

They like to blame the character for being boring, not their writing.

Focused to much on the perfect man of steel, instead of the mild mannered reporter who has to balance his own wants and desires versus keeping up the perfect image/beacon of hope for the whole world to aspire to.

Which also sounds boring. I never understand why they didn't just focus on the fact that Superman's greater ability is both a blessing and curse for someone that's a hero. In Superman he turns back time (haha) but logically, Superman would have to face the fact that as fast as he is he isn't actually god, he has limitations and he can't save everyone, when means when several people are about to die simultaneously all around the city/world he'll have to make choices. and due to his greater range of powers and sight he faces that choice more often than heroes like batman who are inherently limit by who they can save in the first place.

Watched it again. Fuck, Jesse is killing it imo, and he is not even bald Lex yet.

This will be grand. Affleck is Batman/Wayne.

Exactly. The more I watch it. The more I like Jesse. He has a plan and he's going to execute it. I really wonder how he got Superman to kneel before him?

Seriously can we talk about how Ben Affleck was born to be Bruce Wayne/Batman?

The scene of his running towards the building collapse, and then holding the girl while looking in the air with a look of pure seething anger is just....

Combine that with an actual history, a dead Robin, etc

This is the dark oppressive Batman I think Frank Miller really wanted but whose crazy prevented him from realizing.

I'd go as far as to say everything in the trailer meshes well EXCEPT for the wonder woman scenes. She pops up for 2 seconds at a time and feels like they interrupt everything else.

My guess is Wonder Woman doesn't do much as "Wonder Woman" until late in the movie, so in picking scenes for this trailer they wanted to show her in action without revealing too much.

I know what you mean, but Nolan kinda buried practical action for Batman. lol

The part where he's taking out those armed guys looks good. A bit like the Arkham games come to life.
When you see the Watchmen prison scene, there's no reason Batman should move like a cartoon in this. Snyder knows how to do practical action.

Lets! He really feels like an older Bruce Wayne who's clearly just fed up with everyones shit lol.

I really hope there's a lot more practical action for Batman. Because he moves like a cartoon, not a man.

Based on this trailer and that leaked clip of him charging superman a while back.
Yes the all CGI only scenes of Batman and Superman have this unreal quality to them, like they need mo cap or something at the very least. The Hobbit films were full of moments like that, The Man of Steel wasn't as bad but it definitely had quite a few.

This trailer has made me done a 180 on actually liking what i see though
Hopefully Clark becomes more than Superman with his glasses off, and actually has some depth.

This is the Snyder universe there is virtually no chance of that happening :(

No matter how good this movie is, I think I will never get over something I suspect. I get the sinking suspicion from this trailer that there was only one robin... and of course he is dead. Which means that Dick is dead. Which will have me pretty much pissed off for the entire DC Cinematic universe. Awesome.

Other than that, movie looks cool, though again, can we NOT have Clark's family be horrible people? You don't owe the planet anything? Really?

I could be wrong, not the first time

But I don't see how folks are calling this a Batman movie with Superman.

We've seen a teaser and trailer so far, and almost everything seems to be centered around how the world reacts to Superman. Senators, journalists, Luthor, Batman, Alfred are all dealing with Superman's presence in the world.

We've had more scenes with him involved with other people than Bruce/Batman. I don't know I'm sure it's gonna be a close split, but seems more like Superman-centric than Bat-centric.

The one zoom in on Superman while he was in mid air and while he was flying through the debris definitely stood out in a bad way

I just...holy fucking shit. They just said fuck you to Nolan's Batman series and welcomed the new era. This is going to be God tier amazing.

The prison fight in Watchmen didn't age well with me on repeat viewings. Watchmen is great aesthetically but I'd rather not Snyder direct action as variable speed cuts with actors posing awkwardly between bouts. For all the praise Snyder gets for his visuals, I don't think he's ever been that great at shooting actual fight choreography and usually opts for stylistic shots with really short bursts of action.

Clarke saved the planet from complete destruction.

he doesn't owe them anything.
