Do you hear him trying to muster some deep philosophical meaning from a film about Superman and Batman punching each other? "Power engenders fear" or some shit.

He's an Oscar winning actor/director who has some compulsion to be in a comic book film, a compulsion that even he probably doesn't understand. Maybe it's penance for Daredevil.

Or he's just a nerd but is also going through a divorce and probably not in the mood for a bunch of public appearances right now in which awkward questions could be asked?

I kinda think the movie should of only focused on Batman and Superman, hard to say right now, but why throw in other characters? Couldn't that have waited?

Hope it won't be paced badly and feel cluttered.

That's where it can feel like DC is trying to rush and play catchup. I hope they can manage avoiding bloat.

Maybe. I guess I'm going only by what I know by Batman lore. He, like every other superhero causes a massive amount of damage to the city they claim to protect. They are also many times the reason why villians launch large scale attacks against civilians.

I just thought that it was funny when it was quoted that Superman's type of power can destroy humanity, when Batman's power and influence can do the exact same thing.

This is a universe where heroes and villains existed probably on a smaller scale, vigilante stuff like Batman, the guys from Suicide Squad, it's clear that nobody had seen anything like what happened in Man of Steel before though.

Doesn't seem that way from the trailer, though. Plus, it's Superman who gets into the massive explodey fights, what with his heat vision and super strength and ability to fly. It's entirely up to him whether the fights take place in populated areas or not.

If that is the case, they risk marginalizing Batman, like he could be a second rate amateur next to Superman. Supes should be on another level, but not at the expense of Batman.

I get what you are saying though. basically the destruction of an entire city so quickly would be garner much attention. But, so would Batman (depending on how long he has been around).

I like how Superman's all like "Fuck it! I 'm gonna kill Batman with my motherfucking laser beams." So Supes doesn't mind killing now? Interesting.

It could be a case of two different scenes being put together. Like Supes trying to fry someone else and the Batman clip will be him evading either a deflected beam from Supes or the rumoured villain has a laser beam.

I thought so too. Just that looks like a lane divider, not an elevated platform, would make him a little tall. Would be cool if Lexcorp had those kind of automated services based around the Bat-Suit design.
