Others might have brought this up already and sorry if this a repeat. We're getting mislead here. I think these are from the same fight and that's not Superman shooting those beams at Batman. Everyone is thinking
Doomsday as the villain
but I'm thinking more and more we might instead be getting
Bizzaro made from Zod's body
instead.
 
Trailer was okay. Not really feeling it too much. I thought it would have made me feel like some shit was going down but I think the CGI is killing the realism thus movie is supposed to be showing. I don't know, it's okay but not earth shattering to me. I don't like let luthor at all. Jessie just looks awful as him. Wonder Woman I'm definitely not sold on and welp, idk what else. I guess we will just have to wait for the movie.

Ben does a great job as batman though. He is more Bruce Wayne to me than Christian Bale ever was and that was in a short clip. He is going to nail this hands down.

Hell, Superman killing Zod is right in line with the comics. I still don't get why people are such crybabies about that.
 
Ma Kent is telling Clark to do what he wants to do and feels is right. That's very motherly and different to what Pa Kent said. Keep in mind that half the world appears to be demonising her son at this point too.

Batman has to damn near kill Supes, in my hopeful opinion. None of this Superman beating Batman fuckery. This movie is looking great but DC really needs a lighthearted movie between this film and Suicide Squad. Can someone smile?

It's either him or it could very well be a version of
Amazo being introduced
. Even though Batman and Superman fight I don't think Superman would fire his eyes like that. The scenes we've seen from both trailers so far (and the IMAX scene from the first) don't point in the direction of Superman doing that. That was a full power shot and the last time he did that was toward Zod's soldiers.

Gonna call the plot right now.

Possible spoilers

Lex convinces Superman to do his bidding to get people to like him. Lex gives Superman his own taskforce to do these things. Lex makes him do some bad things, and Batman finally loses it and goes after him. The second act of the film is that fight between Batman and Superman, and at the end Superman tells Lex to fuck off.

Lex, mad at losing his new super buddy, attempts to revive Zod to do his bidding. Zod becomes Doomdsday or Bizarro and Supes, Bat, and WW team up.

I really can't wait to the standalone Batffleck movie.

Anyone else think that Alfred was a bit too young? He only looks about 10 years older than Bats?

See, that's a way of making the best of a bad situation I suppose, but it's still horribly misguided. Lex Luthor isn't the bad guy in this movie because he's completely right, Superman killed millions of people. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to make Lex Luthor the hero in their tent pole joke-less film series.

Thats why I like Smallville. It attempted to give Doomsday a personality beside just being the guy that killed Superman.

They could just make changes to the character. The main draw of this movie is Batman and Superman, the fight, and how they reconcile.
Doomsday
could be just something thrown in so the heroes have someone to fight for a cool 3rd act action sequence.

Having
Amazo
is a waste in BvS.
His whole shtick is he absorbs/mimics the powers of other metas. All he would have is Superman (and maybe Wonder Woman). Save him for a Justice League, intro scene smackdown.

He did kill millions of people by fighting a guy by punching him through all of the people-filled buildings before murdering him.

And the planet only needed saving because he was there! Like if I used you as a human shield in a gun fight and then shot the other guy, I don't think you'd thank me for saving your life from the other guy haha

Not true.

Imagine
Doomsday being beaten, sent away into another dimension, then returning later on filled with revenge and gone crazy, it actually works more thematically.

If this is some nightmare sequence of "what if Superman became a fascist dictator", pretty sure his rule of not killing criminals doesn't really apply. I mean Bats isn't really bothered about killing alien invaders in a war setting or anything.

Even in the comics Pennyworth is always portrayed as being at least 25 years older than Bruce. In this trailer he looks like he's like only 10 years older.
