Morrison's run is incredible, and Sandman's reading list is a little daunting. Sandman's totally worth it though.

Boy did they fuck up the new-52 crossover of Animal Man and Swamp Thing with Rotworld. It destroyed all sense of momentum that both series had and a lot of people just dropped both.
