Hogan pretty much was WWE(F) all the way up to Wrestlemania 8. Benoit was only a big name in the company for a comparatively short time, and was nowhere near as popular. It will be almost impossible for WWE to ignore Hogan's contribution to their success.

I think his words were mainly stated because of the Brooke sleeping with situation. Definitely not saying it's okay. But I know of some guys like this. They are cool with, friends with, hangout with and whatever with black people or whatever minority. But! As soon as it comes down to a minority sleeping with their daughter! Holy shit they loose it!

Also lets be honest here. It's going to be quite impossible to make it seem like Hogan never existed in the WWE. The man pretty much was WWE. People who know nothing of WWE can tell you Hogan was a WWE wrestler.

Holy shit. I know Hogan is an asshole - OSW has taught me the legend of cunt-Hogan - but this is another level added. The plot of a porno will be the downfall of Hogan - gotta admit, didn't see that being the finishing move to the trainwreck. Yup. Hogan and Vince built WWF from a new york company to a global company.

I have no idea how they're going to handle this long-term. He's their main event for pretty much the whole mid eighties to early nineties.

I remember when that thread went up, people still make jokes about it. It's as true as the "MVP tries to kill Triple H with a screwdriver to stop him from ending the streak" story.

It'll be interesting to see if the media picks up on any of WWE's sensitive storytelling and backstage handling of racial issues.

WWE did what was right but let's not pretend they did it because they are so open and shit. They did it because they are afraid of the PR backlash.

They have murders and wife beaters in their hall of fame and they are fine with it. They also have been accused of racism by former employees.

I think it's overboard to erase him for this, firing would suffice.
