I'll never accept an apology for racism that has "This is not who I am." in it. If you want to apologize, acknowledge that you have racist thoughts and views that caused you to say those racist things and strive to change them. I get it, racism isn't something you can just purge yourself of overnight, but don't try and pretend you aren't racist.

It was a different time in wrestling. Money wasn't as big as it is now, so people had to fight to keep their spot. A lot of them did that at the expense of other wrestlers.

did you read a different apology than I did? He says that in his statement. He doesn't believe in the things he says and apologized for his language. Whether he's being sincere is up for debate, sure, but your post about not changing overnight rings hallow given that he said these things almost a decade ago.
