I'm not sure about pricing at the moment, but I believe there are some deals our there that give you all the content. We are about 2 months from year 2 beginning, so now would be a great time to try and catch up
If you care about cost, you should wait for The Taken King in September. It includes the new expansion, all past expansions, and the base game for $60 USD.
I have to assume they had pretty good luck in getting some shitty opponents. But that's still hilarious.

The riddle of the Hopscotch is the more you want it the lower the drop rate becomes. At least that's how I felt.
It did finally drop for me on a POE 28 though. In my opinion it was worth the blood, sweat and tears.

Since there seems to be a big interest in Skolas kills for Year One Triumph, and I see Drizz is willing to help out, I'm going to start a Skolas School list. I had one member already PM me about this weekend so he's 1 on my list. To try and get through as many people as possible I am going to leverage some requirements so it doesn't take 3 hours per run. I actually don't run with any exotics, but you will need upgraded weapons.
Requirements:
1. You've never had a Skolas kill
2. Level 34
3. Class doesn't matter, but subclass will. Need a fully leveled Defender, Sunsinger, or Bladedancer.
4. Have a 365 legendary for each slot to be flexible (typical suggestions include an elemental Hand Cannon, arc Shotgun, Sniper, and Rocket Launcher)
Completely optional but will be very helpful if you have the time to start gathering these:
1. Fallen PoE Gear for Armor/Recovery boost
2. Found Verdict or similar arc Shotgun for specialist VIP fallen round
3. Fatebringer for the Arc Burn Cabal round
4. Helm of Saint 14 for Titans, Ram for Warlocks
That's it.
Here's the list:
1. SheHateMe
2. ??

Just quote the list and add yourself to it. Whenever I get time to hop on this week and start working kills I'll go top down through the list. This weekend I should have a lot of time to do several runs starting Friday night.

I can run it whenever, it's really not too bad this week. I already did it once with people that didn't have GHorns.

even if it is on sale (Has it gone under 30 already?), you would have to pay 35 for the expansion pass + 40 for The taken King, which requires having the expansions. The complete edition will have everything for 60, so unless you are desperate or can't wait until september, buying the base edition is wasting money right now.

Cleared the place out, all done legit. Was the only way to do it with some people who hadn't experienced the raid before
Was my first time Sherpa'ing a raid so it was scary for me! Also first time for me running relic properly after so many runs so that was fun!
Still no Fatebringer though >.<

I am getting really worried about Skolas. I have tried almost every week since he was patched and can't get him.
we are all 34, we all have gally's, fatebringers, etc..
we can get him halfway, we can get to the mine section then things just fall apart.
I have what 7-8 resets left until I miss out on my triumph.

Most likely. I noticed earlier that if you buy the digital complete version(from PS store/Xbox whatever), you can download and play the base game and first two expansions right away, then play TTK when it drops. Unless you're set on the physical edition, I'd go for the digital edition because of that.

I've managed two kills on him so far. I think the key is rotating - just keep swapping sides of the arena and clearing all the adds until you're pretty sure they're all gone and then DPS him after your hunter (or whomever is going to the furthest mine) has just handed off that curse timer thing. Then just stop DPSing once adds spawn and repeat the process exhaustively lol (clearing mines in the process of course)

I think managing the adds is our biggest problem. We need to be smarter on working rotations and managing phases of running, DPS and passing the taint.

Good god skolas sounds ridiculous
We had a lot of trouble until we started using Servant of Aksor with the stuns captains perk on it. Found that was putting the captains down a lot more effectively than shotguns. If anybody in your group has one it'd be worth a shot.
Yeah I hate forced-underlevel stuff. I mean I get that they want it to be hard but doable, but I hate how they just directly nerf your damage that way. It's going to be a ritualistic repetition either way. I would prefer more adds that die faster lol

Taking tomorrow off to spend the last 2 days with my nephews. I'm getting really sad they're leaving on Wednesday.
A little history of them. They actually lived with me when they were young (They're 12 and 10 now). The older boy was almost 2 when the younger was born, in my city. They lived with me for a few years until my brother joined the Air Force and they got stationed in another state. Military life really makes it hard for families. My father was in the military for 18.5 years so I should be used to it, but it never gets easier.

As much as VoG is fun I also feel exhausted after it.
Altought I still want to do it again and get better at it. It's a shame it's a lot of work just to get one going but fortunately everyone here is open to less experienced people so that helps.
Makes me wish I had stuck with the game longer and came here to experience it sooner.
