Local player really ruined low tier god's day last night@ 25:42
I like Talos' new command grab. It definitely is way better than the original standing command grab. That said, I still wouldn't say Rising Thunder is good. It's still very 'meh' in terms of execution but I think it has the potential to be good... But that's going to be behind a paywall. The more interesting special moves/supers that would help you in bad matchups are going to be behind a paywall.
So I just learned from watching CPT that Honda can punish a blocked fierce Sumo headbutt. Can any other character punish with a normal?
I can honestly say none of the FGC made fighters ever interested me.

What were the FGC made fighters. I'm definining FGC as made by a tourney successful player or major name.
First one I think was
Anarchy in the Nippon (Japanese VF2 masters made that and even put themselves in the game)
HDR
Skullgirls
PSAS
Soul Calibur 5 (Daishi was a top SC1 player in Japan)
Rising Thunder
Divekick
Fantasy Strike (in alpha)

Making fighting games is fun.

Does KI count? I know buktooth and some others were on that double helix team although I don't know in what capacity. Keits is now involved of course.
The community making its own games is an awesome thing I hope the trend continues.
So any idea on the status of Pokken right now? Is japan even playing it? Rarely see vids for it since the release.
Also some Blaziken combo footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4qsijFA0zg
rookiejet how is Yomi on steam?
Pretty good! Cross-platform play has been seamless; I've always found matches, and my (terrible) stats were tallied and synced on all platforms under the same account.
The game in general is a lot of fun but I have been caught up in too many things and too little time to play it as much as I'd like. My board game nights are also restarting, so hopefully I'll get more irl matches too

Nah, if they are smart it wont be behind a paywall it will be behind a time or money wall.
Yatagarasu
Thought Yata was SNK developers, and they weren't tourney players.
I have been looking at a lot of rising thunder. Anyone else just not find that game super visually appealing? It looks super...dull

How do you explain Mortal Kombat?

It looks like some first draft design on the bots. Dull, generic, and the backgrounds aren't much to look at either. The robot with the weird cross ups, looks sort of neat. But even then its in comparison. You're not the first. Even as a big fan of robots in general I find their designs lacking.
maybe the interesting visuals will be paid DLC. it's F2P model afterall.
so does that mean they'll be getting GG Revelator?
Hm, what about Guilty Gear Accent Core and Blazblue with Pachi? What were the FGC made fighters. I'm definining FGC as made by a tourney successful player or major name.

Is that guy the Hugo that was about to take my money
The very same
I was at a little tournament thing on Saturday and had to play a Hugo in GF's..
tell your friend thanks for the matchup experience, probably would've got bopped without it.
I think the gameplay designer was a 3s chun player of some note.Thought Yata was SNK developers, and they weren't tourney players.

Umezono? Yeah, he's a 3S player of note and is still active -- hell, he managed to get 3rd in the Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax side tournament at Evo this year.I think the gameplay designer was a 3s chun player of some note.
