I seriously doubt Rising Thunder will be a main stage EVO game, Pokken might be if Nintendo pays them.

Thanks. The game seems it is meant for more methodical and patient play which is acceptable to make it more appealing to people who haven't touched a fighting game.

So besides the threat of guard breaking what else are the options to open up people?

Side stepping, grabs, overhead+lows and counters only?
