I think it sounds exactly like 2 different people reading the same line with the exact same timing and using sound fading to go from one to the other and back.

There is a voice change, whether it's hayter or not.

I think it sounds exactly like James Horan continuing to speak in his Skullface voice.

The guide is real, the guy uploading the scans is the same one who got it early:

MGS2 is more complex and way smarter than this. In MGS2 everything and everyone play a role to accomplish that beautiful result.
In comparison, this Venom / BB is a noob attempt and just feels like a finger in the *** and it doesn't fit with the idea of Big Boss I have.

This hurts, a lot. Now I'm scared.

There's your idea of Big Boss. And there's Kojima san's.

We all adhere to kojima san's because well he directed it. Whatever his ideas are, we can't change his definition of what is canon lol.

My idea of Big Boss comes from previous games and Mr Director can't just change things as he pleases, something will eventually feel wrong when you put the pieces together. But at this point I don't care, just end this saga and give me a good game, really.

Your gonna eat crow very soon! ;)

Or, you know, you will ;)

Actually he can, it's up you if you're gonna like it or not, but a creator will not ask anyone about the direction their creation is going to take.

Wait, so the "real" GZ mission is apparently shown in TPP, but the "return to Camp Omega" thing talked about before the game's release is something separate, right?

I'm so confused.

I'll add another scene you haven't scene. Remember that GDC trailer, when Kaz says "what about him?". Well, you know, I really thought The Phantom pain would open with the aftermath of the helicopters' collision, and then Kaz screaming "don't you die on me dammit!". Well it doesn't. The very first shot as I said, is Venom opening his eyes. Well, that very specific scene with Kaz screaming "what about him" and stuff, ONLY occurs after Venom sees Paz alive and well. He begins to understand he has been played, that his Ground Zeroes memories are fake, and has a huge flashback. Only then do you understand what truly happened, and it's glorious. First, you see that GDC 2013 cutscene in full, from Venom perspective. Venom was that third guy Kaz was acknowledging. But you will have to follow closely because I'm not sure I can explain this correctly.

In the REAL events, Big Boss is mortally wounded by Skull Face during the real Ground Zeroes event (that you get to play in the mission right after this huge flashback), and Kaz decides to ask Zero's help to clone him. Paz and Chico aren't in the helicopter and Paz doesn't die. Big Boss and Kaz along with the motherbase staff confront Skull Face and XOF.

Right when Big Boss is mortally wounded is when Zero decides to help with making yet another clone, and one that they can use rather quick on the field. Zero just wants Skull Face's dead body as much as Kaz. The motherbase is completely wiped out as well in the real events of Ground Zeroes

But maybe another fiddle.

problem with his story is the nurse is not the one who's on fire, and quiet isn't the one dressed in all black.

How come we still don't know who Skullface is exactly and his motivations? I mean he's the main villain right?

All these leaks sound like speculation.

I feel like this doesn't add up. It sounds like the decision to make the venom clone happens sometime between big boss's injuries and him falling into a coma. Which seems like as short a time it takes to get him to the hospital based on how hurriedly everyone was working on him, and that he was still wearing his sneaking suit.

So in that short amount of time there's already a clone made laying next to him? I don't buy it.

I wish he'd tell as more about the game content instead of the plot now.

Nobody cares and everyone wants to know what the hell is with the story. Gameplay wise we all know pretty much everything we need to know thanks to the multiple gameplay previews done in the last years.

Are people getting all these spoilers from just the guide? Because no guide I have ever bought goes into detail about the plot of the game

No, he states that that scene is a faulted memory of him understanding who he is.., a clone. He says Venom sees Chico and Paz, then suffers a flashback, which is that specific scene but what really happens is Kaz just yells "Don't die on me", not the " What about him".

Read the reddit page, it's a good read.

Lol so what's the deal with Ishmael having two eyes if he's BB

Well, if PS/VS is some sort of a clone, that's some fresh new bodypart that BB could use. If BB is as evil as he's sounding like, I could see him deciding to take back an eye.

Obviously they give him a new one, which he lost again in the Outer Heaven incident as we know, making the story consistent again. Kojima redeemed.
edit. and I can see the guys in MGS4 not giving him a new one because "fuck it, he's going to lose it anyway".

There's a Skull armor powered by "parasites" obtained by fultoning skulls. Looks pretty freaky.

By upgrading the suit you can go invisible for 30 seconds or use a fog machine.

Not saying it's legit, but I think the issue here is that everyone is using the term "clone" incorrectly. The spoilers from the guide seems to suggest that the protagonist is the Medic or some other MSF soldier, reconstructed to look and behave like a body double of Big Boss. If the twist was that if was an actual "clone" like Solid and Liquid, he couldn't have witnessed the crash and Eli not sharing the same DNA as him still wouldn't make sense either. It sounds like the "twist" if it's real is more along the lines of transforming some random already grown man into Big Boss's double. Kind of like Skull Face himself claims to have undergone several transformations to his persona.

Which in hindsight, that just made me think of Big Boss's quote from MGS4: "For all our advances in nanotechnology - information and genetic control - they've never been able to control people at will, let alone turn one person totally into another" Retcon? I guess he does say "totally".

Well at the very least we definitely know his right eye is there, which doesn't make sense if people think he's BB.

Glass eyes have been around for a long time. Big boss's most identifying characteristic is his eye patch. Which would be the most obvious thing to change.

that is clearly a photo

Oh my bad, yea it is a photo of a mag. Is it specifically scans that are a no-no? I was under the impression that anything taken from magazines was forbidden.

I'm not gonna disagree with you, that's fair. Only adds to the discussion as far as I'm concerned.
