For SOME REASON, Liquid Snake, in his prime, is like the only character we have not seem in any updated form, MGS4's Mount Snakemore is the closest we got.Seconded. And judging by the picture, it seems like that's what we might getting
Social Ops never even released a cool CG version of Liquid, we got nothing, but every goddamn outfit for Big Boss and even MGS1 Solid Snake got nice new CG looks for promotional purposes and so on, pretty much the entire MGS Franchise of characters got new updated models for different reasons, but Liquid is the only goddamn one we get nothing of.
So I'm going to be really salty if we get scenes redone on Fox but somehow see everyone but Liquid.

FOB appears to operate on some sort of token system. You can grind them for yourself in the main game or take a shortcut by buying tokens instantly.
No word on DLC yet which is great. $15 map packs that split the community up is not "supporting" a product.

So far the explanation for Quiet's lack of clothes is laughable (it involves, of course, photosynthesis she can't 'breathe' with clothes on) and cheapens the story, as do the frequent butt shots of her and other women, including a member of a Borg-like undead sniper team. Then there's the mystical tribal leader with magical powers...it's crap, and barring some stunning late-game about-face should have been excised or changed long before it got into the final game.

I always find it funny when people say fanservice is pandering to teenagers, as if adults aren't the ones with the spending money and the main ones perpetuating this.
The End was something else. Quiet was clearly made long after The End. They may have tried to copy and maybe improve him and ended up with a technical failure. I don't think he worked on parasites and thus had no turmors.
But it would be funny if they remade MGS3 and have him be completely naked. He will also renamed to The Schlong.

What's funny is that Power Girl and Wonder Woman comics have made the same joke long before anime thought it would be cute and/or funny.
I mean a GIF like that I could see happen say in Saints Row. But not MGS V which many reviewers claim that despite some funny game-play features is incredibly dour and serious.

Non lethal weapons is the future of video games. I ran over thousands of people with me 2 tons Batmobile equipped with the electro/stun thingy and nobody was ever harmed! And even tough they fall into a wall and/or explosion afterward. Everything make me feels like I'm good guy with non lethal weapons.

God, I knew Kojima was full of shit when he was all "you shall be ashamed of your words and deeds" and this just confirms it. I had a good time with MGS 1-4 but I am exhausted with Kojima's bullshit. Ground Zeroes was a bridge too far for me, so I'm skipping V and am done with the series.

- someone in every game shits himself
- someone is sometimes naked (Raiden, Johnny)
- all the strong woman before that (Meryl, Fortune, the Boss)
- all the manservice (Snakes ass, Raidens ass, Volgin & more)
Shit guys. There is fanservice for your dick in this game and Kojima even connected it to the story so that people won't cry that much. He should have just make her naked to piss everyone off because of virtual tits.
I mean yeah Kojima likes some "sexy" characters in his games, no one can deny that, I just never look at it like that, partly because no gender is safe from gratuitous fanservice in MGS, unwanted or otherwise, and that to me just makes the outrage silly and pointless as the only way to justify it is to start condemning him for fanservice of ANY kind. Which is just getting into freedom of expression and whatever which is losing track of an originally noble intent of trying to improve how women are viewed/shown in Media/games.
I just think using MGS to have this conversation is misguided and is totally the wrong place to start, especially after 20 years of people not really caring, on top of the fact Quiet isn't even remotely the "worst offender" in regards to fanservice designs throughout Metal Gear.
I mean hell, this should have been a thing during MGS4 with the BB Unit, which were boring and sloppy characters in general, add on to that their over sexualization, it all goes from an interesting concept to just pointless fanservice that is offensive on account of bad characters.
But that was 7/8 years ago now, at some point move on, I would rather people get upset over truly problematic things like Japan's excessively fanservicey waifu games and anime.
Quiet's choice of attire to function day to day isn't even in the horizen next to that as far as I'm concerned.

My initial thought is that it's just an MGS3 throwback skin. We are probably gonna see a lot of skins and outfits from other games in the series.

Sure there is humor in the game-play itself, but the plot was going to be fairly dark.
But yes, Quiet is small fry compared to some of the truly atrocious fan-service that comes out of Japan
Oh I didn't forget about any of that, I just happened to put up with his nonsense before because I was young and immature. The best series tend to grow up with their fans, but by the time Ground Zeroes rolled around, he still thought things like putting bombs inside vaginas and graphic rape tapes were solid substitutes for meaningful story. I mean, the way he handled The Furies in 4 was also totally gross, but there seemed to be enough positives to slightly overlook how awful parts of that game were (like always).
Essentially, enjoying MGS has always been partially about accepting Kojima's bullshit to get to the good stuff. With Ground Zeroes, Kojima's bullshit was louder than ever before, while the rest of it just wasn't up to snuff. I find it frankly embarrassing that someone like him is propped up as some genius creator when there have been plenty of devs over the past decade that have told far better stories without Kojima's trademark bullshit.

Yes you can, you can also use naked camo with Venom Snake.
More than likely, in Peace Walker, Snake and every MSF Soldier that you could use in side missions had a "Naked" Outfit, which I believe allowed you to move much better but you couldn't carry many weapons or anything at all. Quiet's default outfit is her variation of the "Naked" Outfit.

It also had a large, diverse cast that puts most movies (and ESPECIALLY most games) to shame and presented itself as a tribute to an actor who (skills can be debated for sure) was widely mourned and celebrated.
Furious 7 has its problems but its strengths far outweigh its gratuitous T&A shots.
