Yeah defending in that sense, but without a online sub, you can't deploy back to your motherbase when there is a alert.

edit: Basically, NPC's and defenses you build will defend it in your place with you being unable to go yourself.

Yeah it does. Any actual player vs player online interaction is blocked. Getting your FOB invaded or invading someone else's is just AI unless an actual player deploys to defend.

That said, if you invade someone's FOB I guess they could deploy to defend and that's PvP, unless it somehow blocks them from deploying to defend.

It makes perfect sense.

There's 3 ways to defend-
1. Your guards/defenses neutralize the invader. This doesn't require your presence.
2. A friend decided to jump in and defend for you. This requires PS+/Gold for them only.
3. You decide to deploy against the infiltrator yourself. This requires PS+/Gold.

It was one of the earlier ones. I believe the "assassinate the general" one but I can't say for sure. I was in my iDroid setting markers and he walked up to me.

The "assassinate the general" mission sounds about right for me. I was just on my horse and heard the pup barking. Ocelot/Kaz then mentioned what I planned to do with it. Of course, the obvious answer is Fulton!

Edit: I have yet to meet Quiet.

I think there's no female options right now. I'm guessing it's going to be DLC because that's what they did for MGO2.

I assume it'll be like the Dogtags at the end of MGS2, a symbolism thing but sometimes inputting certain information can do different things, like putting in Kojima's name on the Dogtags autofilled in the DOB, Nationality and stuff like that.
I assume the face you make will both be for MGO and some sort of reflection of who Venom once was, hence no female option.
