Okay, so I've heard talk about
a woman "sniper?" at the Power Plant
, I go there totally on foot because the helicopter won't take me there (yet?). Can't trigger that.

Way to go, Kojima. Not letting me sequence break?

I'm gonna quit this thread, I'm reading spoilers that are way too further into the game thinking they are early. Shit. It's all on my. Anyway, I'm having too much fun upgrading my Mother Base. It's so good. But I'm not finding Miller, Kaz, or even DD.

Fuck mission 16 spent like 2 hours trying to find a way to complete the mission with only the tools i had available

All i have to say is Quiet is bae/MVP

Did I miss something or are explosives severely underpowered?. In mission 8,
it took me 4 packs of C4 (all I could carry) and 6 missiles (1 left) to destroy both tanks.
Fake edit: That's not really worth spoiler tagging, isn't it...?

Speaking of that mission: During the briefing
Ocelot seemed to hint that the tanks could be stolen. Is that an option in the early part of the mission? I got spotted at a guard post and only caught up to the convoy by the time they got to the fort, and stealing them there definitely a no-go. (I ran around them mashing triangle to no avail)

Konami's servers are fucking shit. Find myself just disconnecting so I can get load times that aren't ridiculously long.

It's just not worth it. I think I'm going to dedicate to upgrading my FOB to prevent invasions.

Totaly just walked into the Quiet fight whilst heading to a different mission, took me by surprise. Needless to say I took the easy option and got myself an S rank.

You can upgrade C4 with more stopping power.

So, do the soldiers have like some overall accumulative el rating? For example: a soldier with A B A D E B would be better than solider with A B B E C D. Do they average out to something? Or does it only matter for the field you want to put them in?

From what I can tell they do not level up or anything (I think).

Mission 6 was huge and crazy. That's what I'm talkin about. Game can be really hard at times too, like trying to sneak through a place with tons of guards during daylight can be pretty tricky.

When you replay a mission to get the secondary objectives do you have to get them all in one go? Or can you just tick off a few and then get the others on a different attempt?

Just began mission 6.
Stupid credits spoiled...stuff.

Can someone help me, i dont play ground zeroes for a long time, but i was pretty sure that when you were detected and the reflex mode kicked in, if you pressed l2 it would automaticly aim at your enemy, but in phantom pain that doesnt happen, do i have to activate any option?

I wrote this early but got lost with no reply :S

that does happen in phantom pain

It's pretty amusing when a fairly long stretch of successful stealth gameplay, not once getting caught while holding up and interrogating every guard you come across, suddenly goes to shit and you're like "fuck it". Bloodbath ensures.

So where do animals go when fultoned? I don't see any in MB
EDIT: WOW literally a second after I asked this Ocelot tells me what's up. Hahahaha KOJIMAAAA

Is the DLC included in the day one edition for Metal Gear Online not working for anyone else? I finally got around to putting the codes in and the single player one worked so do I have to wait for Online to release so the code is active?

Really great game so far, but I have a few quick questions about replaying missions.

1) Do you get more GMP for replaying missions (I once got an S rank and it basically doubled my GMP, so I wouldn't mind replaying that one to get some quick GMP if needed)

2) Does fultoning people in replays count towards your Mother Base? (and I guess as a sub question, can you fulton a guy that you've already fultoned eg The military leader in mission 3).

3) When you replay a mission, are you bound by what equipment you could use at the time? (
I was forced into the Quiet fight but didn't have a sniper yet so I needed to use the cheap supply drop tactic and wasted a boss fight

I guess that I could find these out easily enough next time I play, but if replaying a mission is just a waste of time I'd rather know in advance.

For added fun when that happens start calling in strikes and heli support while you run around with explosives.

Pure Pandemonium. See how fast they try to get reinforcements from other bases.

For the Quiet fight you should have just pistol tranq'd her in an epic 1 hour battle like I did :)

Finally extracted Quiet.
That was one helluva boss fight. Really like that fact that she hums Quiet's song. I wonder if she is supposed to be the white whale aka Moby Dick? Because Big Boss's (Ahab) decision to keep her alive is clearly going to tear Mother Base apart.

Regarding that mission with Quiet

I called in two supply drops to land on her. Those two drops took her out non-lethally. I laughed so hard.

My only S-rank lol.

Think I might just stop playing the only missions I have left to do are the
extreme and total stealth ones which are just bullshit. Whoever thought gating story progress through replaying harder missions is an idiot.

Too many times...

I love the successful ones, they're so damn satisfying but when you spend 45 minutes creeping and looting and being careful and it goes to hell because some random dude who was hiding the whole time spots you, pure blood bath at that point.

I find it funny, and kinda ridiculous that if you make too much noise enemies hear you, but you can break through a window to enter a building, loud as shit and no one notices.

how do I transfer my Ground Zeroes save? everytime I try it says I am offline and to go online on the AAC(?) menu. but then it says servers are down. what's going on? PC version if that matters.

This game, lmao.

I've just listened to it on Youtube and now I've got to ask: is the song "Sins of the Father" actually in the game or was it just for that e3 trailer?

you can steal a missile tank at an outpost, makes it really easy to complete the mission. cant remember the exact location but you can find it out by interrogating enemy soldiers.

Used up all my fulton so I decided to extract my target by helicopter. Find a wild bear near the rz extract it and hop into the chopper.

Mfw I forgot to put the target on the chopper.

I can't help but feel that because of their much-advertised "focus on mobile" they probably thought this was gonna sell like 250 copies and allocated some shitty old servers to it.

I've heard OHHH OHHHHHH and a little bit of Nuclear but just teases.

It doesn't matter I need quiets theme and not your kind of people in my blood

Just a tip for those who are going into the
Quiet
fight without a Tranq Sniper.

You can fulton boxes on top of her head and take her out with two boxes. Locate her position, mark her with your scope and then mark your fulton drop on her. Just be sure that she sees you every now and then until the fulton drops or else she can run off.

You waste zero bullets and it doesn't kill her.

lol. did this the long way...
tracked her down and filled her full of pistol tranq darts and then punched the living daylights outta her.

The good thing about side ops is that you can do what you want (aside from ofcourse not killing your objectives). Even if you're killed afterwards, you'll just start close to the landing zone with the Side Op finished. Also, you can just pause the game and select Return to ACC which doesn't cost money.
