I'm trying to do a side op that requires rescuing 2 prisoners, but i have no idea how the hell I'm supposed to find the second. Interrogating guards only got me info on the first prisoner, but nothing on the second, so I've just wasted a good hour making zero progress. It's the Unlucky Dog 02 side op. What am I missing here?

They should both be in the same room iirc. This took me forever too I didn't see him the first time.

Hot damn, episode 6 was a marathon. But what a marathon!

I didn't know you could unlock emblem parts by clearing guard posts! I'm going to murder everyone in them now lol

The only bummer about that mission was
that I was carrying the prisoner when the cutscene triggered, and so he disappeared :(

My dog was murdered by a 3.5mm audio port and I will not rest until the standard is dead
What's the name of the intro song? While I'm in the hospital bed. Thanks.

Got a wandering soldier who just wont go the fuck down. Must have put 40 sleep darts in him and nothing. Can't get close and throws smoke grenades.

Can't use D-D to stun him so not sure what to do. Tried dropping a crate on him but he moves.

Edit: Got the sod.

So is weapon customization something you have to unlock?
I remember they showed it during one of those gameplay videos but i don't see it anywhere in the iDroid.

I overpaid for this silver paintjob on quiet, but whatever. (it was like 400k!)

I love fighting these guys, I use two tactics against em.

1. Quiet. I'll order her to shoot, bullet will ping off their helmet allowing me to grab them whilst stunned.

2. A cardboard Box with anime on it. Easy grab lol

Haha. Brilliant. I need to try using the box posters, I have quite a few. Also dig the new Av!

Speaking of, how do I put posters on my boxes? I've already got a couple

Hold left, highlight the box, press square.

Is the whole game structured in missions that drop you in specific points? Isn't the open world structured like you have to travel by yourself to get to missions? What's the point of the free roam?

If you extract from a mission by chopper, then yes, you have to drop back in to resume.

But if you start a mission from free roam (go to the Episode's yellow start point or do a Side Op) and leave by land (leaving the 'Hot Zone') then the mission will just 'complete' and you resume in the open world.

I've seshed probably 3-4 ops in one open-world session before, never going back to the chopper.

I am still at the beginning of the game, mission 6 I guess. However, when I am doing missions like extracting
the professor
and other missions, the game show me one objective while there are question marks around the other objectives! How do I uncover those?

Complete the mission once then look at it again in the Missions menu on your iDroid. The other ??? objectives will be revealed.

Alternatively you can try and do side objectives first time you play it, but some are hard to guess. Some are easy (extract prisoners, etc).

One tranq dart to the head KO's 'em. I just use stealth camo to get close lol, ultimate cheese.

After beating episode 6, I seriously want to prostrate at the feet of the entire Kojima Productions environment modeling team and the level design team. Holy fucking shit.

I just finished this. It felt like a shit just got real moment. My only complaint is that some of the objectives aren't clear until after it's too late or when the mission is over but eh, I wouldn't mind replaying it once I'm better equipped to handle all of this without getting shot 120 times!

So I fullton'd a highly skilled enemy from my last mission and now he's in the brig does anyone have an idea how long he stays in there for really wanna put him to work.

By the way, I farmed Quiet's faction to 100 pretty quickly by just doing side missions and using the "quiet" option a lot. I tested and verified that speaking to her raises her faction, but you can't get raises over and over, there's some kind of cooldown on it that I haven't figured out yet -- So I just say it between battles.

How do you hug baby DD
Every time he runs to my feet I want a button to pick him up or something :(

Any PS3 players here that have had trouble logging into Konami's servers since the night of Sept 1? I played yesterday until past midnight and I couldn't log in all day. I haven't been able to link my GZ save file because of this!

Anyone else or is it just me?

I see. So there's no need to actually stay in the open world? You can just go from mission to mission with no need to travel by foot?

Just unlocked the
Sneaking Suit
. I'm assuming it's a bad idea to use it during the daytime over some appropriate camo, i.e. will I be spotted from further away for standing out against the background?

What the fuck @ R&D target practice.

Anyways I've started to notice guards adapting, I guess I used one too many tranq headshots. Tranqs are old news anyways and now I'm all about the holdups. But I'm not sure about one thing - I watched Uknighted play Ground Zeroes a bit before MGS5's release and I saw them hold up small groups of soldiers in rapid succession. Yet when I try this in MGS5, the first holdup alerts anybody close by. Did they change something or am I doing it wrong?

Bingo.

Pick the outfit that best suits your surroundings if you do not wish soldiers to wonder who the fuck that is crab walking on their base lol.

That's the weird part though, I feel like there has been a lot of story stuff since mission
32
happening when I go back to base etc so that has calmed me down after the initial anger when I saw what the bulk of the missions are now (it's still ridiculous and any re-plays should be side-ops). There has been plenty of yellow side-ops they could have padded the main line out by putting them in the main missions. IDK man, whoever was making structure decisions about this part of the game got it horribly wrong. It feels like they totally ran out of time. At this point I feel comfortable saying the game needed another year to re-do
chapter 2

Thanks. I'm out of yellow side-ops but there is a new non-replay mission so perhaps I should just do that.
well we 100% know ending content was cut, which is absolutely crazy. So I think it's pretty safe to assume
chapter 2
onwards was suppose to be more than it is.
It could just be they want reviews to be like "this game is so long, so much content etc".

Pay real-life money for more FOB's. This would allow you to send a ton more units out and rack up huge sums of GMP.
What's exactly FOB and how do I construct more of them? The game hasn't explained this to me other than I need more of those to deploy more combat teams but I don't know what FOB is!

I've been using it but I almost always go in at night. I spent longer than expected in freeroam on my last mission and almost as soon as the sun came up I got spotted from very far away - so that must be the case. Personally for my playstyle the silent footsteps are a must but it's cool that there is a tradeoff.

Is there any reliable way to earn a steady income of GMP?

I've been developing pretty much everything and costs are skyrocketing.

I hold up/interrogate soldiers constantly and they frequently tell me about hidden diamonds. Large diamonds are worth 100k and actually haven't been that rare. I'm early game but I have about 10 times more points than I can even use - we'll see later on though.
