The verdict pretty much admits that Tom Brady had full knowledge of the balls being deflated. It isn't about evidence, it's common sense that you're not allowed to deflate the football. But because he wasn't informed that he did nothing wrong. That's how it is being described. That's a joke.
I'm reading it now, and it does nothing of the sort. The judge isn't making a judgment one way or the other on whether he did it, but it's pretty clear from his questioning, writing, and footnotes that he's not convinced of that fact based on what the NFL presented as its 'proof'.
