Tom Brady beats NFL in 'Deflategate' court case, league's 4-game suspension nullified

So he's been cheating for years.

Obviously Brady did it. And only the Stockholm Syndrome fans think otherwise - thankfully I know plenty of Pats fans who're adult enough to suspect Tom anyway.

However, I have to agree with the Judge's ruling here. Apart from the fact that the nature of his cheating was petty and probably didn't win or lose any games, the NFL really was making it up as it went along.

And of course this ruling has zero to do with his guilt. Which is pretty obvious. Just the nature of the punishment and accompanying circus.

What a deal.

Patriots cheat as much as other NFL teams, they are just the target due to their success and the spygate shenanigans

Note how any major "cheating" thing are nothing more than urban myths at this point. See the allegations of taping superbowl practices and bugging the opponents rooms.

It'll be interesting to see if their record low fumble stats are a thing of the past this season.

The judge didn't rule on the evidence anyone did anything wrong, but it was made clear in his questioning and his ruling through his rather consistent mocking tone that he wasn't buying it at all.

If your woman threatens to leave you during an intensely emotional and frustrating period in your life, she isn't fit to be a good wife in my opinion.

I honestly get the distinct feeling the judge thinks Brady is guilty but thinks Goodell's NFL is a joke. Which lines up pretty neatly with the facts.

Well it's a good thing your feelings aren't admissible in court.

The judge didn't say he wasn't guilty. He said the NFL overreached.

He said there was literally no proof that Tom cheated in regards to the Indy game. He even asked the NFL's attorney for the proof that he did, and the NFL agreed that there was no evidence linking Tom to the deflation of footballs. In other words, not guilty.

Word is that the Federal Judge tried his best to get this decision out before Bill Burr's Thursday Monday Morning Podcast

Were you even paying attention to all of the hearings tearing the NFL up for a lack of evidence? The judge may have said he finds it hard to believe that Brady wouldn't know, but he said in the same statement that the NFL has no evidence, and he doubts there was a conspiracy. He also said there is enough doubt considering Brady's performance with properly inflated balls albeit small sample size. The judge made it pretty clear how he feels about Brady's innocence/guilt, and it is insignificant that he didn't rule in that part of it because he didn't have the power to anyway. Because he didn't have the power to make that type of ruling, you can't use it as a reason for believing Brady is still guilty especially considering the judge's actual viewpoints which he made really, really clear over the last couple weeks.

he wasn't the ball boy

what you are doing is having a conclusion and forming evidence to fit that conclusion instead of having evidence and finding conclusion.

No not really. I formed a conclusion (my opinion) mainly based on the text conversations. I can just as easily accuse you of having a conclusion before any evidence.

What gave it away? When he wondered aloud why a QB would perform better when the balls werent deflated?

It's not up to the judge to go with his feelings.

But if you keep thinking Brady is innocent, eventually it will Lance Armstrong right up to your chair.

So you're comparing years of using PED's, destroying lives and running a bullshit charity to slightly deflating balls and tampering with them (which other QB's have openly said it's something that's pretty common) and you think Brady's reputation will end up that of Armstrong?

Especially in a league where we have coaches cough cough Pete Carroll who feed their players PED's for breakfast, dome teams who bake in crowed noise (who are part of the competition committee) and constantly disrupting headset communications?

The league is a joke and it's especially hilarious to see past coaches cry about the integrity of the shield when they know damn well how bullshit that is and how much gamesmanship goes on, let alone actual cheating (see stickum and having running backs lube up to make tackling more difficult in the past)

So much anti-science in service of childish sports allegiances. The footballs weren't intentionally deflated and continuing to think they were is ignoring basic scientific laws.

Lol you admit his infraction didn't affect the game, go on to compare him to the worst of the cheaters.

Of course his perspective is skewed. He's a guy who actively shills for a company that stole millions of dollars from gamers. That says enough about his character.

Stinkles just needs to go and finish working on Halo 5 instead of parading horseshit around like he's 100% correct.

Or maybe fix that abortion of a "game" they made.
