Can Solidus be the Twin Snakes' Wrasslin' Manager?

When I first played MGS2, I felt like Solidus didn't really do much. Compared to Liquid, who was such a whiny but memorable and unkillable contrast to Solid Snake. Solidus just spouts exposition and aimbots with a P90.
 
I just finished the game (real ending + Quiet ending + watched the Kingdom of the Flies on youtube) and i'm still processing everything, so i won't comment on what i liked or disliked, but i was wondering, where would Grey Fox fit in all of this? I was expecting at least a mention or something.

Did he get to meet BB/Venom Snake only later on in Zanzibar? I haven't played the MSX games, so i'm going by what i remember from MGS1.

Also, some cut scenes from the trailers are missing, i think: Snake walking among the burning carcasses in Africa; the child soldiers being instructed by some guy to hold a rifle.
 
You would think the real Big Boss would want to get revenge on Cipher for destroying his lifes work (MSF) and being responsible for the deaths of Chico and Paz...but no...he just lets some random braindead soldier guy do his shit for him.

Nobody knows, it could be something or it could be nothing. Me? I just like to have fun with such things, who knows maybe he used it so he could see the community come up with insane theories and shit for one last time.

I don't think he is able to adress that in any form.

Also I do wonder if he really would post something like that, I mean sure, people change, but MGS2 had the Casting Theater which allowed you to replace female with male characters and vice versa for cutscenes.
 
So can we assume that Venom Snake is the one who told Solid Snake who really is behind this operation/MG1), because Venom got some order from Big Boss that he didn't like and that's why he hits the mirror in the last cut scene ?
 
i just realized something that woulda been cool as a gameplay/lore callback
since solid snake's reason for not using CQC is because big boss betrayed foxhound, technically anything that would've starred snake during MG1 would've allowed for him to use CQC, also..
 
I had no idea about Ishmael being actual Big Boss until I heard the tape about Eli's test coming back negative for matching DNA. At that point I was like whoa... maybe that face thing in the beginning really wasn't for the online portion of the game because nanomakojimas. And then I played the truth mission and proceeded to lose my shit because I got it half right and because of how ridiculous this whole story is.

It did seem legit better than what Bioware originally came up with (and what they fixed. Except for the shoot space casper ending. That is the one true ending).


I do love that the crazies always bring up the "People thought that Venom was the medic!!!!" shit like it wasn't hinted at or didn't have actual facts that lead to the conclusion. They think that because that can be real something with absolutely no evidence at all can be.
 
I feel like the game's pace slows considerably when it's just exposition after exposition from code talker about the vocal cord parasite / resident evil virus, dude sure loves his wolbachia.

And then they go on to explain the cobra unit from mgs3 using this shit. Ugh.

They also show the statue of liberty. Which obviously means it's a Metal Gear and today we will get the DLC ending where we pilot Metal Gear Liberty and defeat the evil space pirates and then Optimus Prime shows up for some Transformers cross promotion because Konami needs money and then it's revealed the whole game takes place in a pachislot game which is the real ending and the message is "you should play pachislots" and THEN we get the post credit reveal that "IT'S NOT OVER YET!! and that MGS6 is already in development coming to an arcade near you!

Barely any story, didn't show how Big Boss turns evil mofo, instead replaces BB with random solider #7 and BB is out and about doing god knows what.

I personally wish he would have stuck with MGS2-3 format of you doing stuff in tight locations and a whole bunch of cutscenes pop up and codec calls :'(.

The bigger question is who cares.
He pretty much ruined his entire franchise with this game (not really but he did a lot of damage). This story is so asinine. He's now the George Lucas of the game industry.

The story has always been garbage. ALWAYS.

Except this time there's a great game attached to it.
 
9/11 truth bombs will be dropped free dlc that shows how eli mantis sniper wolf and FOX HOUND blow up statue of liberty to get revenge on big boss linking into the deus ex universe like i always knew
