Technically it makes the most sense, harder to attack and completely separate from other countries.
Basically it is it's own country if its out of territorial waters.

its out in the open from air and sea, its basically a huge stationary target, they are pratically asking anyone to attack them
I think to be fair here, the interior space of the helicopter doesn't really need to be kept consistent. The scene at the end of GZ plays much better with a magically bigger space.

The sad thing is, it was actually the REAL big boss that was embezzling funds to make OH, not Kaz with his burger bar dream.
Morpho was cooler, it's name comes from a butterfly and sounds rad, Pequod is unsurprisingly named after the ship from moby dick and is lame.

Yeah I thought it would be a gameplay thing, where if your soldiers die you get money, so in a way you would have an incentive to bring the crappy ones in battle cause at worst if they die you get money. Which would play nicely in the BB/demon thingy.

For some reason, I want to say that the scene was specifying that it was only those specific soldiers lost to the parasite attack were going to get turned into diamonds because they died in such a horrible, dishonorable way. I could be wrong though, might have to go back over that scene again.

So now a new Big Boss was recreated using hypnotherapy, couldn't they just repeat the process? He goes down in history as being the greatest soldier ever. It makes sense a clone of him is also a contender for that title in the form of Solid Snake, but if you can just recreate him like they do in this game, doesn't that mean anyone can be turned into Big Boss?

Disappointing second half.
You can see that the elements for a more coherent transition between the two trilogies are there, but they botched it, completely fucking up the pacing. Billing remixes/challenge runs of missions the player already completed as main missions is padding at best, self-sabotage at worst.
The gameplay was absolutely ace and it deserves a lot of praise for that, but the story was badly written and full of holes, its delivery even worse with overly melodramatic scenes that never really hit the right tone. Big swing... and a miss.
It's exactly as he says - if they had said at that point that there are no plans to have Solid Snake in the game, that would've been a big spoiler for the game (not having Solid Snake in it). Correct decision to be all "we can't talk about this"/"no comment" about it.

One thing you need to understand is that Venom, before being changed, was a soldier good enough to be considered the best man BB had, it puts him in the role of Gray Fox.
And yes if you have the resources to do it then anyone can be shaped into the "LEGEND" or play the role of Big Boss or Solid Snake or whoever.

Something like this makes me happy I went on a media blackout for the game, because I would've been even more disappointed with the whole mother base portion of the game if I had known what was initially promised.

Randomly stumbling into the Paz room had me convinced stuff like that was going to be a big part of MB.
I thought to myself: 'I bet all those rooms with the red light above the door will be filled with unique characters!'
When Huey showed up and moved into the room under the R&D pkatform i was even more convinced.
But no...MB is a whole lot of pointless area to run around and make individual soldier morale go up to stop them from fighting each other when you're doing missions...
..FUN! R-right?

That was just the culmination of stupid - the whole quiet being perfectly capable but silent on purpose is some of the most hack writing I've encountered in a project with this kind of budget.

Well, I'll tell you this much: I don't care if I'm the only person in the world who chooses to do so, but yes, that's my game plan, at least. I'm forgetting Peace Walker ever happened, too, because when I finally played it in 2013 I treated it as the prologue to this "big event." Whoops.

Man, I'm dissapointed. I hate having open ended questions, but I'm more dissapointed with the big twist. It cheapens everything in this game. Big boss' iconic image was just made lesser in my eyes. I was expecting to see his descent into madness or seeing why the world viewed him as, "evil." Instead we get a fake big boss doing terrible things, who I have no real connection to. So much wrong. Even if we miraculously get some dlc for the missing content, I'll still have a very sour taste in my mouth because of the twist.
At least the gameplay itself was phenomenal.

Big Medic was pretty much just cannon fodder the entire time.
