guys remenber then Big Boss decided to forget about The Boss because she laid down her weapon

if you tihnk about it, he didnt lay down his weapon. He chose to approach things a different way. He basically went into hiding and began building outer heaven.

Probably doing a terrible thing diving into this thread prior to completion, but I've heard some things that I'd like clarified from those that have finished Phantom Pain. I'd prefer minimal spoilers although I'm fine with full disclosures if it's best answered that way.

01) What are the advantages/disadvantages of Quiet's departure in relation to Mission 43? I heard equipping the butterfly in the player emblem prevents the side-op from appearing, but does keeping her as a buddy halt progress of the main narrative entirely?

02) I once heard there were three separate endings so I'm curious about the prerequisites for unlocking them. Can they be achieved in a single play-through?

03) What content has been confirmed to be missing from the final product thus far? I've been made aware of the following elements:

he's a coward who decided to let someone else take the heat in case they tried to kill him

remember at the end of peacewalker when big boss said the whole world was going to be after them and instead it was just one dude with a small army who didn't really care one way or the other if he was alive

that last paz tape was fantastic. This game really needed more moments like that.
Out of curiosity, how many of those Wandering MB Soldier missions are there and what do you need to get the last Paz scene? I've done all 10 and nothing happened after the last little recollection + "I need to rest". She's still there, just drops her book when I visit.

the final one is right outside the room she is in. near the entrance door on the wall.

Did you also get the photo in the hall outside her room? Not sure if it's connected, but it's easy to miss

That's actually terrifying.
Gave me a little fight D:
My apologies, have a laugh instead.

03) What content has been confirmed to be missing from the final product thus far? I've been made aware of the following elements:
01) Doing her mission is obviously required for 100% completion, including unlocking two costumes for Snake
Raiden and Cyborg Ninja
as you have to do all missions for them. But not doing it means you get to keep her, and her mission (as well as her side op) are not required to get mission 46 or the rest of the main narrative.

02) People, and the trophies I think, refer to them as separate endings but it's a bit deceptive. There's the Chapter 1 ending with episode 31, Quiet's "ending" with episode 45, and the Truth/Chapter 2 ending with episode 46. They are all done in same play through.

03) People are still finding stuff in the game files that point to other cut content, including a Chapter 3 (most likely tying into the cut episode 51) titled
Peace
as well as textures that point to a Boss skin/model (her snake scar was found). I would not be surprised if people find more.

I intentionally avoided a lot of pre-release stuff so I can't say for other things they promised but failed to deliver on.

If you've completed all 10, you'll just have to leave MB after every encounter with Paz (just hop on a chopper and fly away). For each new encounter, Snake will give her a photograph from the old days at MSF, while she in return gives you tapes (not always though, you have to keep coming back). There are 5 tapes in total.
The last photograph will appear in the hallway, just outside Paz's room - Obtain it and revisit her... And you're done! :)

He could just use phantom cigar for 24 hours too that will trigger new scenes too.

I wish the whole game was like the last 3 or 4 missions. It's like they put all the story at the beginning and the end, and then also some in the middle.

Two big hamburger buns and a really thin patty. And both buns are the top side.

It's terrible, and wait until you finish episode 46.

i've already watched it so i know exactly what happens. I really do wonder how this game got such great ratings. 8.5 from me. Gameplay is a dream but gets bogged down by repetitiveness and such bad pacing in the story.

QUIET JUST CAME BACK TO LIFE IN MY GAME O_O

I've cleared all the story missions save the high difficulty ones, Quiet has left and I was like "nooo sucks!" and my quiet mission added [Replay] in front of the name, so I replayed it, sparing her again, watching all cutscenes with no skipping, now she's alive and well in the brig... she isn't in the missing/KIA section of mother base either.

I wonder if I can get her back as a buddy if I do more missions to trigger the cutscenes where she is deployable.

It's a shame Kojima didn't give Kiefer more lines. I think he did a fantastic job whenever he was given more than one sentence to work with.

https://a.pomf.cat/abcyrl.mp4

So instead of this, which is an ending for Venom Snake's character arc, Kojima hijacks the moment to talk directly to the player through Snake MGS2 style to say "You're Big Boss now. The MGS story belongs to you. Peace bitches, I'm out."

I just can't figure out how I feel about the twist. It's obviously stupid yet it's the only part of the game's story that actually made me give a shit about what was happening.

i feel you. Those TRUTH tapes were the best tapes. Skullface and his language parasites crap was so uninteresting. I thought the game was about to find Zero....Those Zero tapes were fun to hear but i would love to see cut scenes of him in-game

WTF was that? The whole switcharoony bullshit. Honestly, I think I would have been happier if it turned out the player character was actually Decoy Octopus.

Yo yo what if

Somehow you do survive Intrude 1313

BB is all like "Yo dawg, you did a good job being me these past few years I got a job for you"

BOOM decoy octopus

Also, it's not like DO's official Shinikawa look ever mattered anyway.

So just like the rest of MGSV it would functionally have no effect on the plot since things would play out exactly the same as they did in previous games ayyy lmao

DO's MGS1 look could have been because of nanomachines, but early on he was good at just changing his appearance easily.

How did they let all these kids escape mother base? Seriously it's an oil platform in the middle of the ocean. Did they steal a helicopter? Some of them are in Africa and some of them are in Afghanistan. Did they steal two helicopters? Worst security ever. It was nice of them to escape to the two areas that are in the game though.
