The PC port of PES 2016 is kind of shit

Using the same engine they used for last year (PES 2015) is actually cheaper, and probably easier too because the team responsible on PC version is familiar with that engine.

Ha fair enough didn't know about that. That makes sense now.

Just finished playing it for about 5 minutes.

Seems like the framerate isn't at 60 even though I have a 980ti and 4770k and everything is incredibly aliased....what gives???

What's up with Japanese devs using the PS3/360 version over the newer gen consoles.

Didn't the same thing happen last year? The demo I downloaded literally had me laughing out loud. The PS4 version was the definitive version by a landslide, not surprising to see it happen again.

I dunno if the PES devs have some deal with Sony or something, but it's completely absurd.

I'm still favouring buying the PC version over PS4 as easier editing takes precedent for me over the graphics. If the gameplay is actually identical then I can live with the graphics.

Still waiting for that demo first though.

The demo is out on Steam.

This still isn't as bad as One Piece Pirate Warrior 3.

Koei Tecmo and Bandai Namco are even advertising with PS4 versions of that game on the store page.

So here is what I found to be an interesting tidbit. The Steam version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is labelled "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Digital Exclusive Bundle". Now why is it a bundle when it only contains the game and nothing else? I'm not entirely sure but my guess would be to hide the negative user reviews since they do not show up on the bundle overview page. You have to specifically navigate to the game page to see them instead of being taken there by default.

If Hideo Kojima was the director of PES,
the PC version would have had superior graphics,
and even would be 4K.

I'm positive.

The gameplay would be batshit insane though...

Actually that would be awesome. Major Goals Soccer a Hideo Kojima game. Featuring a realistic simulation of the game.. with added random players with superpowers. Just watch out for the controversy over the new female teams mode.

The user reviews are now down to 42%, so Konami FINALLY took action.

They are selling the game on it's own in a "bundle" that's hiding the user review score.

Why didn't they port both versions (360&One) and let the players decide when lauching the game which version they prefer?

Because that would cost too much money? I mean, they probably know that PC sales does not justify the cost to port the current gen version. Sports games players are mainly on consoles.

Is this the first time a company used this loophole? Because if so.... Bravo Konami, you sunk to a new low.

LOL fucking Konami

And looking past just them, it's great to see more Japanese games on Steam but I feel like their bad port to good port ratio is not looking so good. When even bigger Japanese publishers like Tecmo and Square are putting out multiple shit ports in a row it's quite embarrassing. I feel like they should know better by now.

This one is probably not a shit port, just an old gen port like FIFA did before FIFA11. For the other Japanese companies I think it is two reasons.

1. About game stability/compatibility: it is mostly about budget. If you don't put enough manpower to do the QA for various hardware/software configurations, of course problems will arise.
2. About game features like resolutions, fps, etc.: for framerate it is understandable if it is an old game (or a weirdly programmed Japanese games) and cannot unlock FPS easily. But for other features it is simply a matter of not knowing what PC players want.

Wow this release of PES2010 PC sure look great

Why does konami release a 5 year old game on steam anyway .??

Yes that's how i feel

So is it just the graphics or is it the gameplay too? Anyone with an actual review?

They are advertising the game with PS4 graphics just like Koei Tecmo did with One Piece. It's not about gameplay it's about them breaking the law. I really hope Konami and Koei Tecmo get what's coming to them.

And now Valve REALLY has to crack down on this. A bundle by itself, amazing.

Holy shit. This has to be a first.

Fuck Konami.

also, i should note: there is no NO WAY to buy the non bundled version
