Payable with fight money. You only have 1 Super in games that have it. (Even SF3 was "Super Arts") Good chance they'll be introducing multiple CA options later.
Can't let Rising Thunder be the only game with micro transactions for moves.

Are we expecting the starting roster to be 11 males and 5 females? That's going off urien, alex, and the last two newcomers being all that's left. Can't recall the last two newcomers. But it seems only one might be female. Though I guess there's a possibility both might be.
Nah, they've explicitly said system updates like that won't be paywalled.Payable with fight money.

Yeah, I hope that's the system we end up with as well.I kind of wonder what utility you would gain from having multiple CAs. I mean, it's better than no choice obviously but the damage is so high it isn't like having an anti-air CA, for example, would automatically shut down jumping. That worked a lot better in SF4 when a small mistake could cost you 40% health if your opponent had Ultra.
I'd like it if/when they add CAs they expand the EX bar to give some CAs stocks like in SF3.
Two questions.
Do you expect the SF3 kiddy corp (Ibuki, Elena, and Makoto) in SFV and when?
And do you expect a heavily modified design from their SF3/SF4 versions or more akin to their pervious versions?

I would like to see them Alpha-ized, if it takes place before SF3.

'Inspired by' is completely different to 'located in'. Just because the Forgotten Waterfall is inspired by New Zealand doesn't mean it's located there. I never understood why so many people couldn't understand this.
They weren't Alpha-ized in 4 which took place before 3.
I'm interested to see how a V version of Makoto would play.
I'm thinking more in the 8-10 range for the first year at least.I expect Ibuki and Makoto at some point as DLC. But it really depends on how many characters they do as DLC a year. I'm guessing no more than 6 a year.
I've got no clue how mak would play in a game where everyone already does makotoesque stun.
What I really want to see them do is introduce multiple v triggers
Stun values looked a lot lower in the tgs build. Damage seemed lower too.

Yeah, on one of the streams I'm pretty sure I heard one of the commentators say that special moves in general have had a damage nerf.
I'm thinking they're gonna have a couple DLC characters ready to go right at launch, or shortly after, so I think the first year will have a fair amount. That's pretty higher than my expectation. I would guess about 4-6 characters. Yes, I love to set my expectation low as possible.

I find it puzzling we still haven't gotten a release date yet. Based on how fast they're announcing these characters makes me believe they're launching in January. And if they did, I am guessing they will launch 4-6 DLC characters for 2016, and less if the game launched later in the year.
2-3 character leading up to EVO and another 2-3 leading up to Capcom Cup.

If they are taking ques from popular F2P games I honestly can see them doing 1 a month or 1 every month and a half. I don't know if they'll give that pace up, but they'll want that money floodgate to open and it is an ok way of keeping people interested in the game.
If every character released comes with story elements/stage/other things I can see them pushing it to 2 months, but at least at release I expect it faster than that.
I hope that's true. Stun and damage were my biggest complaints in the beta.

If they truly want this to be a game that has long legs, they'll need to keep the content coming. This is a big experiment for them, and doing it half way won't win them any favors.
that would be painful
I think the amount of characters will be fine, but I'll crave the hype. hopefully they can keep non-character content rolling in steadily, too. alts, music packs, stages, etc.

The damage was perfect and the stun was maybe a little high. The game needs much better walkspeed IMO... it troubles me that Capcom refuses to have like, actually good footsies like the old games.
What? The beta was nothing like a vs. Game.I'm not a fan of 0-effort, 30-40% damage combos no one will ever drop, feels like a slightly toned down MvC3, and I really hate MvC3.

meh, i don't care too much who's in at this point. People just seem to like characters that haven't been in a lot of games, so whatever...Thanks for the totally necessary disparaging comments.
Why not just list your own picks instead of tearing down what someone else likes?
Yes please.
Yeah, I got to grandmaster a few times, won 90% of my matches. I played to a point where I just rather play USF4.
yeah, I did start to get a little bored with it. Game definitely still feels unfinished. Not mechanically, just how easy it is to do big damage.

Nope, lol. I'll be done with these threads after the next confirmation. That'll be it for me. I don't care about speculation.
The reveal threads have been awful for me with all of the drama surrounding gender politics, character popularity, NEW CHARACTER LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE/LOOKS AWESOME/BANANA HAIR and BS speculation. The game can't come soon enough.
Not mechanically, just how easy it is to do big damage.
But when the season starts in March it's going to be hard for players to keep adapting to new balance changes and new character mechanics in a short period of time. The game needs to marinate with the players a bit.
Did you used to play SF3 ? Even then there were simple, but powerful combos that could deplete the opponent's life in an instant. But, they would mostly depend on some error from the opponent: Not using AA, bad read, something like that.
I can't think of a BnB combo that can cause that kind of damage without V-Trigger or Super in it.

Not enough for me to go back to USF4 though lol...I have a love/hate relationship with 4. I get in ranked and play a good Sim, Gief, Blanka, and say "this is the best game ever!" Then I play Ibuki, Elf, and a whole 2 hours dominated by the twins and Rufus dive kicks and even after winning my enjoyment is just in the dumpster. If SFV doesn't bring me back in, only something like VF6 will.
Man, you would have not liked ST.

I did, and it's whatever to me. Don't hate or love it.
My point is that ST was very much a game where you did huge damage off of one hits, short combos and throws like SFV was shaping up to be before the damage nerfs in the current build.
I don't know, I'm just scratching my head on how you can compare SFV to Marvel just on damage potential alone.
