holy wild boars
I ran into a Guarded Treasure with 5 of them. I haven't played in months and on Death March, so it ended badly.did you actually find wild ones? I came across one in a quest, but it was the only one I saw.

holy sh*** at wild boars
The expanded area in NE Velen where this takes place looks so nice/is so well made. My hype level for the next expansion with a completely new area is through the roof.
Ok there's a cave with like 20 giant tarantula's, it's too late for this creepy shit. I'm going to bed.
...I couldn't climb back up.

Playing on Death march, I've found a lot of the difficulty in Hearts of Stone seems to stem from the fact that melee combat isn't a viable solution anymore because everything counters like crazy and instead you just spam signs and jump around while they recharge. Since switching to this style of play, I killed the first boss as well as the mini boss right after with ease. A successful Igni hit on the first bos took off 30% of his health and it obliterated all the mini-boss adds with ease. Once they were down, I just spammed Axii on the mini-boss and it was cake.
Deflection on armor also seems to trivialize a lot of the fights as well.
good lord I forgot how to combat in this game lmao
cant even kill some level 34 nekkers
maybe I should just go with the pre made geralt
The first boss is beatable but not with any strategy that's not tedious as hell. Just terrible design.
FFS the fight right after the first boss is hard as shit too. The combat in this game really isn't cut out for this level of difficulty.
Enchanting seems like a pointless gold sink.
Maybe those advanced tools would make it better but getting 2x vitality from food or keeping grindstone bonuses isnt very exciting
I thought the same, it's an endgame goldsink, from the very start when you need 5K gold to just be allowed to spend even more effort and resources to runecraft.
Still I needed one, I had too much gold on me.
Was going to load my save after downloading this but it's telling me I'm missing the Beard and Hairstyle and Missing Miners dlc necessary to load the save.
WTF?
Went to check the dlc (GoG) and the free dlc program box wasn't ticked for some reason. Now it's downloading another 611mb... I had all the dlc installed.
Was there a patch that made it necessary to re-download the free dlc?
I had to do the same, apparently they put all the dlc in one package. that's a good thing but you need to redownload it.
The season pass is 24,99 and says it's for 2 of the paid DLCs. The DLC is 9,99 and if the next DLC won't be over 15 why should i get the seasonpass?

To help them awesome developers feed their grubby little dirt children.
The next one should be around 20. It is twice as long.
To be fair with the game, nekkers are the hardest "little monsters" type in this game. Way harder than your average drowner or wolf. And level 34 is not a joke.

So if I really liked Witcher 3 and played the shit out of it, also collecting all trophies except the Death March one, but I want to avoid buying DLC after the disaster that the Destiny Expansion Pass was.
What should I do?![]()

What are you talking about? What does Destiny have to do with The Witcher or CD Projekt?
I'm talking about bad experiences with my first ever bought DLC.
How long is the expansion pack roughly? Anyone got an estimate?
I heard you could start a new character at 32 and just jump into the DLC somehow, does anyone know how to do this?
15 hours easily
Start a new game, then choose Hearts of Stone and your are set: level 32 and 20k in the treasury, but the equips (swords and armors) are terrible
