Sony : Paris Games Week press conference dated

So, prior to this year I never knew this convention existed. I don't recall ever seeing threads for it in the past. For those who follow it, what kind of announcements have been revealed there in the past? Has the focus typically been smaller and aimed towards the French or was it smaller due to the closeness to E3, Gamescom, and TGS? Looking it up, there's been one every year since 2010 and is now the 2nd largest video game convention in Europe (Gamescom is 1st).

I just realize that Sony registered WiLD the past week in Europe.

Oh my.

Can't wait to see more of this.

I could see western persona 5 dates here. I'm suspecting that persona 5 will be dated in Japan at tgs

My feeling is that if the P5 date is announced at TGS, then Atlus US will immediately announce the date for the US. Especially since it's a 2015 title. No reason to wait.

Oh, thank you for these news. That's new-thread worthy, because nobody knew who the IP owner was. Wild Sheep Studio or Sony. I've asked several Sony reps at Gamescom back then and didn't get an answer to this question. So it seems like both parties finally closed this deal a few weeks ago.

Looks swell, though I'm hoping they have time to make the reflections look better. It suffers from the reflect everythingitis with no respect to surface normals and expected facet roughness I've been meaning to make a thread about for so long and now even more because of Dice's superb presentation about screenspace reflections.

This is one of those shots that, as an older gamer who started out on a 1k monochrome machine, make me go 'Wow, this really is the best entertainment possible.' I get a real sense of 'place' from this, despite it being an open marshland/plain with few details.

Gorgeous.

Wait, Wild isn't online only? I wasn't hyped at all because I thought it would, but I was researching a bit about it and it seems it isn't.
If it isn't online only, my hype is tenfold! It looks glorious, and Michel Ancel is amazing!

I have such a. great feeling about Rime and this. And I am hoping that given how well Rapture has performed, all these widely publicised indies might get to go physical as well as digital.

The new AA front. "Indies" with solid backing and marketing.

They are the type of games you expected on PS2 and then disappeared last gen, I'm so glad they're making a come back.

Even EA and Microsoft are opening up to these AA games with Unravel & Recore. Anybody that says everything is "samey" in the industry must have skipped last gen.

This gen is already more diverse than last gen & it's only been 2 years.

If it wasn't for SF4 and VF5 and a few Sony exclusives, I might have gave up on gaming last gen.

It is one of the reasons why I love this gen, even if there aren't that many mind-blowing games. Not that I dislike last gen - it gave me Bayonetta, Vanquish, Nier and loads of classics, but having a wide array of just good, unique games makes turning on the console every day something I look forward to. Not that I can play every day, unfortunately, but I definitely feel like doing it.

This is one of the game's that I'm dying to learn more about. It was just such a fantastic surprise last year.
Yeah I was stunned when Sony announced they were publishing Ancel's project. That Gamescom trailer still looks amazing, as does Rime's. Can't wait to see how far along both are now a year later.

12PM

It's in the OP! =P
I saw that but was unsure if it was talking about Sony's show since the image stated doors and conference time. I needed to know the time the conference starts. Also thank you good sir. <3

EDIT: It's on a sunday, that means I can watch the whole thing instead of just look at the bigger trailers stealthily while I'm at work. YEESSSS

Where is the hype train, incessant teasing, Verendus, GopherD, and of course, theWorthyEdge?

SCEE Conference in two weeks and no insane predictions and wild west atmosphere.

For shame GAF, for shame.

They pretty much delivered on 90% of our wildest dreams already this year. I don't even know what I should be excited about!

who am I kidding, Ni No Kuni 2!!

Well Zoetis, confirmed insider said that PGW will be better than E3.

I can't even fathom how but it seems eerily quiet, just like how E3 was and then nuclear bomb after bomb from SCEA. Very little hype again, very little talk, Sony mouths zipped tightly shut.

Either were in for another lightning striking of a show or SCEE os simply too busy trying to choreograph Jim Ryan's pole dance routine for the stage.

They did?

Kinda...I guess. They were all rumored before the announcement. But they were also all rumored at the last E3, and the E3 before that, and all the Tokyo Games Show's and PSX...and so...and so on. I don't think that there was a reason to believe that this E3 would be any different. Especially when all three were said to be announced at one conference. Who the hell would believe that?

I would be fine with Quantic Dream and/or Sony Bend showcasing their new titles on top of a lot of small to mid tier level releases.

Keep stacking up 2016.

That plus
Crash Bandicoot
rising from the ashes developed by Studio Japan.

I am so out of the loop on PGW that I actually thought this thread was just created today before seeing the dates on the first few posts. Are there any rumours or things to expect that anyone would be kind enough to share?

Its 2 weeks man.

Still kinda far.

Plus its this PGW that I frankly never even heard about. So I have no reference on what kind of show it will even be.

So mehh right now. I' think I'll be hyped a few days before though.

Expect more info on Wild, Dreams and Quantic Dream PS4 title.

Other than that, were going in blind.

Quantic Dreams new game is a lock for the show. Yoshida all but confirmed that during his EGX panel. Zoetis (the person that first said that TLG would resurface at this years E3 and was verified by mods) has said that PGW will be better for Sony from a first party standpoint than E3 was.
