really? I liked that sith trailer, really gets the shit's going down crashing and burning feel, and explains the basic story since most people know the end already.

Where this trailer is more of a "The adventure has just begun" vibe.

The Palpatine conversation lines should have been saved for the film. There it just drags the pacing of the trailer to a halt. Not to mention instead of just using the dialogue, the trailer keeps the camera on Palpatine. Why? Why not show scenes in the movie, thus reinforcing the 'unnatural' part instead of his face?

Not to mention that trailer spoils the entire film.

Damn that ROTJ was sucky but in context it makes sense...
Apparently upon release Empire was too grim and so ROTJ was branded as a return to the more "fun" and adventurous side of Star Wars...
Tons of spoilers though...

Oh hell yeah, that ROTJ trailer spoiler the entire Han in carbonite subplot almost immediately. Makes me glad they've been relatively able to keep to spoilers out for anyone trying to keep themselves clean.

First half was almost decent even if it was kinda lazy with the text. Second half just shits the bed. Too much dialogue that should have been saved for the film and should have just focused on Yoda's comments. Just completely unfocused.

And in hindsight, a lot of Jar Jar. Too much Jar Jar.

A lot of the faults in the RotS trailer are still very prevalent nowadays such as spoiling an entire film.

Perhaps oddly, one of my favorite things is at about 1:17 where the MF goes into light speed. We see the stars turn into lines and they have this blue-ish hue to them.

Please tell me you can see the difference in pacing in the trailer, framing, lighting, quality of backgrounds, speed of the camera tracking the action, and general coherence to the trailer itself.

So big companies can just make anything a cultural event now? I'm saying right now clear cut the only reason people will talk about Star Wars is because Disney will beat 1 out every 2 years till people stop going to see them. This as much as a cultural event as an iPhone or Transformers movie. Its all marking buzz with nothing but a hyper polished dumb but well made action movie at it's core. You wanna sit here and play word games going back and fourth to define what cultural even means then i'm out. What? Like Kids React, Teens React, Adults React, or Elders React? Because I'd watch all four of them! I'd watch Kids React to see if they know anything other than The Clone Wars or Rebels. I'd watch Teens React to see if they know anything other than the Prequel Trilogy. The Adults React would probably be a mix of people who know the Originals and Prequels. Then Elders would be interesting because some of them probably were parents who brought their kids to the originals.

I got goosebumps more at the music than I did at what was happening.

We are all just making projections of quality based on a carefully edited 2.5 minute promotional clip. It's an argument that can't be answered for another couple months even if some people have already made up their own minds one way or the other.... To be fair, we knew the conclusion all along. I mean, we knew that Anakin would become Vader, we knew he would duel with Obi-Wan and we knew he would be left badly scarred so that he needed the suit.

Revenge of the Sith was still an awful movie though, but you can't knock the trailer for showing too much, since we already knew everything that was going to happen.
