Holy shit the C
hildren of the Atom
are not fucking around. This might be the first area where I will have to just bail and come back later, think I found their home base and there are a goddamn lot of them.

Hilariously coming back to the Bloodbug thing, after dying a few times I tried to attack the base from a different angle, and while trying to stealth had a Bloodbug attack me and blow my cover. Goddamn you Bloodbugs.

I have those things randomly fall from the sky as I walk around.

I haven't seen that yet, but once or twice I've seen them running about 10 times faster than they're supposed to.

Apparently, you can reduce the size limit of a Settlement by simply removing junk from the workbench and then scrapping it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/3sx64d/i_built_my_base_in_the_castle_ive_filled_up_the/

"if you drop a bunch of junk on the floor, then scrap it, the game thinks you're removing built objects and removes some units out of the size meter."

Nice.

Does this work on console? If so, I imagine the limit was put in place on them for a reason. Could this cause performance issues?

Haha, holy fuck.

So I beat the story today and was gonna Errol anew character and go all automatic energy weapons and hacking etc.. Opposite my dumb dumb melee build. But the rumour about not being able to get out of the vault on a 2nd character is true. She didn't make it out of the cryogenic chamber. Can't move at all can only bring up the main menu.

I'm on PS4 so I can't use console commands either. RIP

I got a legendary double barreled shotgun that applies a damage over time effect that eats, like, 90% of an enemies health in three seconds. The best part is it ignores armor and drains super fast in VATS, so I fire at three enemies, just tagging them in the arm or whatever, and they all go down by the time Im out of VATS.

Its so broken, I love it.

33 hours in and beat the main quest and a bunch of side quests but doesn't look like much to do afterwards in terms of questing apart from minuteman stuff of helping other settlements?..
.I wiped out the brotherhood of steel and railroad during the main quest lol

Man, something that OP would just ruin the game for me. XD

The last rank of the nuclear perk is like a damn mini nuke ejected from your power armor.

If you dont have a grenade equipped, when you use the grenade key, it instead drops one of your fusion cores that explodes

XP rewards for some of the crazier monsters/enemies seems way out of wack. I just had an epic 10 minute battle with the crazy (not a story spoiler, unless it's something I did early)
Savage Deathclaw in the Museum of Witchcraft
which was a fucking terrifying encounter, and I got 112 xp for it. Like...really?

I just had this same epic battle today! Took me like 15 minutes to bring him down.

How did you get so many cores?! I'm paranoid about using my power armor because i'm afraid of running out of cores. Also that's awesome.

I had the same problem on PC, you have to totally quit out the game and load back up the save.

Didn't take a picture of it but I encounter a legendary glowing green ghoul and I got a legendary VATS Laser Pistol. I'll take a picture of it later when I get back on.

I got it that same place you get Cragnog Axe.

I wanted to have Dogmeat along with me for the whole game...but his AI is just getting annoying. He loves getting shot up and hardly does anything useful.

Not sure if just let him go and take lone wanderer or try out the Attack Dog perk.

I was going for weapon perks next (I'm 48 so im just getting random shit now) but I guess i should get armorer instead for when I want to fuck around with power armor for funsies

Also need to get those settlement perks for buulding funsies when I finish it... wish I hadnt wasted 2 or 3 points in stuff I never use now :/

Oh well there's no level cap anyway

Definitely my least productive weekend of this year. Thanks Bethesda!

Replace weekend with week for me. 70+ hours sigh. First time in my 36 years of school / work I ever took time off for a game lol. Felt good.

My sanctuary has never been attacked :/

They would just get rekt by all the companions there anyway

I just found a set north of
The Railroad's church head quarters on a small military barge with three armored vehicles and a vertibird
. Don't know if that's a static spawn, random, or based on character level or something.

Thanks a bunch, it was indeed there. You just saved me from a lot of stress.

I'm not a big dog person, but every time Dogmeat goes down in battle and you can see him whimpering and trying to stand up but can't it breaks my heart.

Was pretty meh on the graphics (playing on a mid-range PC) until I saw my first
radiation storm
. Holy shit that looks bad-fucking-ass.

It scared the living shit outta me.

My storm happened the first night in sanctuary, alone, in the dark. I only saw glimpses through windows at first. Man that was boss.

No, that is far from the only difference. Other than the charisma checks, all the of the answers do the same thing. It literally makes no difference what you say. If you're a dick, you still progress the quest. In past games, saying the wrong thing could get you killed and lose an entire faction. Speaking of checks, there are no checks other than charisma. You could have max int, science, etc. and act stupid when a scientific dialog comes up. In Fallout 1, you couldn't even speak english if your stats were too low. Even the charisma checks are largely reduced to: "I want more caps for that" or "give me a little more background on this quest". I could name one hand the number of times it has actually changed the outcome of a quest

fair enough. I don't see that stuff as too important, but that's me. I don't want to be behind a wall without access to gameplay or story.

Just found a legendary assault rifle with explosive ammo. It's really satisfying when you fight raiders with Power Armor as it blow up their parts.
