If you contact Amazon.ca asking them about an upcoming product they don't have (e.g. Fire Emblem limited edition), they'll auto-notify you when it becomes available

Amazon can't notify you about a product not on its site, whose name/listing they don't know. Notifications are automated, so unless the product already exists they can't notify you and no CSR is going to personally contact you when its available.
Anyway, for the first time it seems Amazon isn't going to get Stella Glow to me on time, since the product is still stuck in transit. I wonder what I can get out of this, since the guaranteed delivery date is today...
Edit: Oh, the item was finally processed. That only over 24 hours. Canada Post has already changed their estimate for my shipping to tomorrow, so that is nice to know.

So I decided to return my e3 copy of Battlefront back to amazon. I talk to a CSR who asks me the reason I'm returning it, I say "There's no physical CD, just a download code" (It was one of the reasons why; just not the main reason). The CSR says okay and sends me a shipping label to print out.
not even 2 hours later, i get an email from amazon saying that they already processed my refund and the reason for the return is "item not received". is it normal to get a refund this fast, even when i still haven't mailed the product back? and why did they list it as 'item not received"?

Ah I never preordered it BC I heard nothing good about 4 but ive heard pretty much the opposite about 5 and I like how its a bit more catered to esports type players with arena so I'm sorry I missed out on e3 deal but I'm glad to have found it cheaper than retail.
I never considered that people could preordered the games cheap and just resell em.on kijiji. I bet there's a few doing that

There were Best Buy TV bundles that came with an Xbox One and Halo 5 earlier this month. I bought a TV and sold both the system and game on Kijiji.
My Stella Glow/SAO order was on track for today, but still nothing and it's 8:15PM. I'm in Montreal.

From my experience, they refund you right away and if you don't send the item back in a reasonable amount of time they just charge you again. You might be okay in this case but read everything carefully.

That doesn't sound normal. I returned 2 things last year, and the refunds weren't processed until they received it (edit: or maybe when I dropped it off at post office? Like 1 day). Maybe your CSR pressed a wrong option button on his end.
The only time I got an instant refund was when an item didn't show up (and I had postal tracking proof).
Is there a way to request canada post just drops off packages right to the pick up place instead of always leaving a card saying no one was home (even if someone was) and making me wait an extra day? I don't love having to go pick it up but may as well do it the day it arrives.
