Completely forgot Just Cause 3 comes out next week and I don't have money since I bought Battlefront and the Season Pass. Welp, guess I'm missing out on that 30% off deal.
 
Has anyone tried cancelling a order at EBGames.ca? I can't find a cancel button and they're not answering my emails. I want to avoid phone if I can. I am really bad at English. I ordered something almost a week ago and it never shipped so I just want to cancel and get it elsewhere.

They also offer phone customer service in French if you speak French. Otherwise, email and phone are your only way to cancel an EBGames order.
 
Well, I got my copy of Rodea today from Best Buy. It actually came in a box instead of a bubble mailer. Not just some cheap box, but a sturdy one. I was legit surprised. On the downside, there is a cut along one edge of the box which appears to be from a box-cutter. No doubt whoever opened the shipment pressed down a little too hard and damaged this copy of the game. Man, why can't BB get it right? On one hand, the game is technically opened and has a gash on the box, but on the other hand, it's not so big a deal as for me to want to go through the replacement process. Geeze.

I cancelled via email about two weeks ago, and it took 3 days to get the confirmation.
 
Something is wrong with Amazon. Ordered 4 games Monday and one of them was sent open and without the cartridge. After many years this is a first for me, all my orders tend to go fine and when they don't it's due to carrier problems. They already put a replacement order in but this is really annoying.

Unfortunately I'm not great at French either. Kind of frustrating. I swear that site used to have a cancel button.

Wow. So, I just got a shipping confirmation for the 2 items (Mario tennis and animal crossing) that I chatted for 2 hours last night about to cancel and that they promised would be cancelled and personally email me when it was done. They didn't do jack shit.

That is surprising. Was there any tampering with the package from when you received it?
 
I can't remember the last time I've been so disengaged from gaming in the holiday season. In a way it doesn't even feel like November 19th already because usually around this time I'm either playing something I've been waiting for all year or anticipating its release in a few days.

Xenoblade is the only "holiday" title I'm really excited about and it's not even coming out till December!

Xenoblade is coming out the last day of my requested vacation. I should have booked the next week lol.

Pro tip for amazon. If it's still listed in your order it isn't canceled. If you're chatting with the csr don't finish the conversation until you check the order.
 
I always sign up for email alerts when it comes to these type of things. but for some reason I never get anything, so I guess my only option is to refresh the page like a crazy person until it goes up.
 
I'm not sure if it's an error or an actual sale, but Origin has the PC version of Far Cry 4 for $7.99 and the gold edition with the season pass for $14.99.

I bought the gold edition through the Origin client and it was charged in Canadian dollars - after taxes, the total came to $15.74 CAD! If you don't care about the DLC, you can get the game for under $9.

Also, it comes as two Uplay keys (I know some people hate Uplay, but I figure it's better than having to launch it through Origin which would then launch Uplay anyway).
 
Shoppers Drugmart will be offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of a Drake collection PS4 For $430 this Saturday and Sunday.

Super Mario 3d World Wii U bundles will also be $250 on those two days.
 
It should be, why not buy the package and sell the amiibo. I'm pretty sure you'll get some money off it, it will help bring down the cost of the game.

I have a spare 3DS XL burning a hole in my, er, desk! But I already have a N3DSXL and I don't really want the gold one :(

wish I could trade it toward games or something. would love to get $100 for a 3DS XL hassle-free.

So pissed off right now. Basically out $170 in purchases because of their fuck up. I'm horrified to think what would have happened assuming I bought something worth more. Not sure what I'm supposed to do, or if it's even possible to get refunds or a reshipment.

Call Canada Post's customer service line. It's somewhere buried in the site. 3 days isn't very long btw, things have magically turned up for me even after they were marked delivered and signed for by a mysterious individual who doesn't work in my office.
