Batman v Superman Exclusive Look

Man, This movie could be really good but everything I've seen of it has Zac Snyder all over it. I really wish this guy wasn't in charge of so much of the DCCU.

Blind love is as equally dumb as blind hate. Let people have their opinions this is a discussion board. Post yours and quit dwelling on others.

A lot of actors have donned the famous cape and cowl of the Dark Knight over the decades, but I don't think any of them could have hung from a chain and breathed heavily as they pissed themselves in abject fear of an all-powerful alien overlord, the way Ben Affleck did in this scene.

seeing as how everybody else got cavill is supposed to be menacing and affleck is a mixture of shocked/angry/disturbed, maybe you missed something?

It might be because of the lack of context, no clue what is going on in the scene or the plot of the film as a whole here.

Cavills menacing face looks like he is about to cry and it just makes it funny to me.

Dat mass kneejerk negativity. Literally never seen anything like it.

Anyway, scene was cool. Agreed that Cavill's angry face is less than totally menacing, but hey, he's Evil Superman. Dude doesn't have to do subtle to be scary. Affleck is looking like he's gonna knock it out of the park. Thought the landing CGI looked fine. Good, even.

As for the "why isn't he just using xray vision/burning it off... if this really is (as all indications seem to point towards) Bruce's nightmare, he wouldn't. He'd be unmasked. Because that's what he's scared of, as much as he's scared of anything. It's what he's been freaked out for years over, X-ray vision and lasereyes mask burning don't hold the same punch (though I do expect the scene to end with a PoV shot of the heat vision starting).

It also holds more weight if he rips the mask off, as if to take off his armor and take away his power. Obviously he doesn't have to, but the scene holds more weight than holding the frame and we see Affleck's bone structure.

Anyone got a good shot of Angry Superman? I wanna put a Dredd helmet on him.
As for you Batman, judgement time..

Pretty much. It's supposed to be a simple, somewhat more... primal, I guess, kinda thing.

That actually looks like an impressive amount of material uncomfortably close to his eyes.

Definitely a dream sequence

Still hyped as hell
Supes has this odd look on his face in every shot with Batman they've shown so far. Almost makes me think they expect people to believe this is a dream when it's actually not.

What if they went with Bizarro.

lol some of you are doing your best to hate this movie at any cost

For the most part I want to say it's people who disliked MoS, have a beef with Snyder so they take it out on this.

Superman looked disgusted and his face reflected that.

But yea I can't wait for the full trailer Wednesday.

Bad CG and Cavill looks bad. Snyder you better not fk this up. It is just a small spot so I am not too worried yet but still...

Nice theory, but I think it would have to be Superman being controlled by someone. I don't think he'd willingly have an army at his side.

I mean, the pieces are all there. Affleck as Batman? Killer. Eisenberg as Lex Luthor? Ace. Taking beats from TDKR? Perfect. Even Cavill could be a decent Superman with some good direction. It's just that nothing they've put out so far is even remotely encouraging. And, yeah, most of that stems from Snyder/Goyer.

At this point I'm hoping WB can rope Affleck into a long-term gig developing the Batman side of the universe, because what we've seen there (Suicide Squad included) seems dope.
