Batman v Superman Exclusive Look

Looks weird out of context but I'm sure it'll be fine in the movie.

Frankly, I miss the build up and excitement to each new Nolan Batman movie.

When I see Batman spinning around with his gatlin gun off the building in the trailer, or Batman standing up out of the Batmobile, I don't go "oh my, Bat-God from the comics!".

I think, this looks like an excited teenager's 90s extreme version of Batman done via videogame cuts scenes.

It doesn't have the physical presence of the practical effects that Nolan used in his trilogy, thus making it far less immersive, at least in the little footage we've seen.

Overall, I'm rooting for this to be good, and I've liked Snyder enough in the past between the Dawn of the Dead Remake and Watchmen DC to give this a chance.

I just doubt this reaches the highs of the Nolan trilogy, and I suppose that's okay,
At least WB is doing something new with the Batman IP by making him part of the DCU and pairing him with Superman on screen for the first time, so at least there's a novelty there.

But count me as one far more excited for Civil War (Daniel Bruhl), Apocalypse (Oscar Issac) and Suicide Squad (Margot Robbie).

Eye-liner complaints ? That's like saying how is Banner's pant still fitting the hulk

Come on you guys can do better nitpicking than that

Yeah it's good. Imagine how goofy it'd look if it stayed on.

I don't know, I think some hastily smeared on face paint would make Bruce look even more human and crazy. More fuel for the whole "two sides of the same coin" fire with The Joker.

Can't go all super dark and realistic but leave out these details. It's the little things.

I like to imagine Bruce at home designing his cowl and having hundreds of crumpled up pieces of paper around until he finally gets the brow just angry enough.

look at all the beautiful and unique snowflakes pointing out the eyeliner "got ripped off with the mask". Clearly their observation skills are unmatched...

Weird scene for a teaser, but I dug it. Batfleck is best Batman, by looks alone. And dat Bill Finger credit! Justice is finally being done.

Don't know why people are bringing up eyeliner. How often do you see Bruce with makeup on after he takes off the mask or puts it on?

I just assume it's all in the cowl.

there's more action in this than all the MCU movies combined
Ah the shit posts begin.

Looks good to me, I mean, it's a superhero movie where Batman and Superman are going to fight. This alongside most of the MCU and DCU (plans) was inconceivable when I was a kid, I'm just excited that this is happening.

+cowl movement looks smooth and natural
+ben fits the suit great, don't see the fatman complaints
+cavill's suit looks great

-I wish cavill had something like his injustice suit to complete the dictator change
-eyes should glow red to make him more menacing, just doing a pouty face doesn't make him look menacing enough.

The other captured soldiers there make it look like batman is leading a resistance, some injustice vibes there.

I know I'm analyzing a teaser here, hope it's cut differently in the movie.

Everything I've seen from this movie looks bad.

Yeah no. Going by how GAF seem to dislike this movie they would've jumped on how bad Affleck looks with his eyeliner.

Man nightmare superman is going to be amazing. Everything about the movie is going to be amazing. I need more, not long now.

1) I'm not a Marvel stan
2) The last Marvel movie I saw was Iron Man 1, and I thought it was weak
3) That new Captain America trailer is corny

This isn't a fanboy thing. Shit just looks bad.

1) No one asked if you were a Marvel fan.
2) You didn't have to tell us that but, ok.
3) If Civil War was corny and this looks bad then super hero movies are probably just not for you and that's fine.

I was kidding but there's definitely more scrutiny against MoS than any of the 'competition's' movies, that I've read on GAF anyways. Hopefully as more movies come out it'll all get left behind

Tbf, I doubt any cbm will come even close to what Nolan achieved with his trilogy. His movies were always more about Bruce Wayne than it was about Batman. A great character study, combined with blockbuster action. Very well written story, characters etc. Whether you like it or not, Nolan is already hailed as one of the greats and that will only increase if he keeps it up. Don't see a director of his quality doing such an incredible job as he did. His take was unique and not something you'll see often.

I'm just glad we're getting BatGod.

Sure this trailer is nothing to jump for joy about. I mean nothing exciting happens. But I do like the scene.

I wonder if this is how the trailer starts though.

The teaser does its job in that it makes Superman look completely unstoppable. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the nightmare sequence ends with Superman giving Batman a heatvision lobotomy.

What an odd out-of-context sequence to use in your sneak peek. Hyped for the trailer though. How did Kimmel get these reveals within a week of one another?

I like it. So Bruce wakes up after this dream and realises he has to return as Batman because shit is getting out of hand right?

Ugh...Wveeythong about this movie seems off to me.

Not a big fan of DC characters though. Batman particularly I'm not a fan of.

If there's one thing Snyder's Batman is sure to have over Nolan's, it's the physical presence and sensations of Bat-God from the comics.

There were rumors that this is what Wonder Woman forsees, which triggers her intervention. Could be both though... like she uses her lasso for Bruce to reveal his greatest fear or something. Because that sequence is very much from Bruce's perspective, so it'd be weird that it'd be someone else's vision.

Nah, it would look fucking silly

Looks great. Thank the gods theres a trailer coming in a couple days or I'd be pretty disappointed with this even though it looks good. And I'm not surprised at the usual Gaf pile on for this.

I like it. A paranoid dream of Superman as a tyrant. Batman has the right look and his costume is solid. Based on this and the previous trailer I have high hopes for this.

Makes sense. And since in the trailer we saw Bruce snapping necks, it would make sense for him to be afraid of becoming a murderer as well.

I am still cold on the film though. It will look very good, as all Snyder films do, but that is about all the excitement I can muster for it. I hope that changes as the release gets closer.

Could be that that's not the interpretation they're going for. Not all versions of Batman are presented as primarily crazed.
