Is switching weapons bugged? Control menu says scroll wheel but I just got the SMG and can't get back to the pistol.
Switching weapons is switching between grenades/foam/rockets/grapple. You can't switch between normal guns on the fly.
played about 20 minutes worth on my pc, core2duo 2.8 and a gtx 950, it plays perfectly fine at 1080p but I get framerate stutter when things load for a moment, probably my old ass ram sticks choking.
I got it to function at least by adding the launcher as the shortcut (didn't have to do this with UT) and then launching it from there. You can bring the overlay up and set your bindings but if you linger around too long without going back to the game it seems to lose focus and doesn't respond to any control method. Finally got some Steam controller bindings set up but tweaking the mouse sensitivity is probably going to be a pain but sort of works alright as long as you don't have the overlay up for more than 10 seconds. I've got a few more issues that I probably put in a support ticket and see if they get addressed.
It seems like I have to configure the controller before launching it or it won't take. Also, if I open the overlay while playing it, I have to alt-tab to get the game to respond to anything again. Just all around weirdness on my end.
I'll try to add the launcher instead of the game exe to see if that helps me out. I'm trying out some funky bindings, but it's hard to experiment when I can't go back and forth. I'm testing out Mouse Region on the right pad for absolute mouse control, but it's not feeling as good as I'd like just yet. To use the mouse, I had to go with WASD for the analog stick with an inverted outerbind of ctrl (walk). I may end up going with Mouse Joystick in the end, but I do want to give this a try before giving up.
Sooo it's not showing up in the launcher. Tried resetting the launcher as well as my PC. What did you guys do to get it to work?
i'm an advocate of remasters retaining their visual identity. i don't appreciate it when games get the silent hill HD treatment tbh. but i guess you did.
Does "free for a limited time" mean that you'll lose access to it, or that you can't get it for free later?
This is one of my favorite games ever, and easily one of the best games during last generation.
And no, really, I am not kidding. It is HUGELY undeserved.
Do you mean underrated?
anyone else unable to launch for signing in?
Ye I am only able to use the launcher in offline mode too.
Put a couple hours in, this game seems like a solid Metroid clone. A little "talky" for my tastes, but I guess that's video games nowadays.
The plot and dialog hasn't changed. Other than visual / graphics and resolution improvements. It's still more or less the same game from 2009.
I mean "nowadays" in the broadest possible sense.
Young whippersnappers, back in my day we had our MetroidVania games with barely any talkin at all and we liked it!
I have this on 360? Would my only gain be 1080p as far as performance? Just seeing if its worth the hassle.

1) Annoyingly, no Steam release, so install the game via their launcher (after registering, bleh), then manually add the Shadow Complex executable to Steam. That executable is located here:
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\ShadowComplexRemastered\Binaries\Win32\ShadowComplex-Win32-EGL.exe
2) To skip the launcher (essential for proper use), set these launch options for the Shadow Complex shortcut:
-AUTH_LOGIN= -AUTH_PASSWORD= -AUTH_TYPE=
Someone figured out how to add this game to Steam and skip the Epic Launcher crap. This makes it play nice with BPM, great for streaming and using your Steam Controller.
