I still haven't decided if I wanna play it on my PC or PS4. Trying to see which differences there are other than the PC version having the improved fan translation. Is there a wide screen mod for the PC version?
Don't want to justify typos, but given we're getting a remake - doesn't it make sense to keep this as a tribute to the original? I'd rather have the same old translation I played as a kid to be honest.

PC has a lot of mods.textures, models, music, new world map, etc. Qhimm forums is your friend. Definetly the ultimate version of FF7.

I honestly can't fathom how much FFVII is going on right now. Watching streams, playing the game, listening to the soundtrack from my computer, participating in FFVII-related discussions on forums, texts to my FFVII-enthusiast buddies from the 90s and still in the process of accepting the fact that Remake is a reality.

They'll probably try to sneak in bullshit from Advent Children, Crisis Core, and DoC into the remake to make everything all tie together. It would be nice to play the original game with a decent translation.

What was / is wrong with the music?
Low res backgrounds just upscaled so they were really pixelated. They've used some kind of FXAA to fix it, which makes the text look a bit weird but I dont mind that.

It used to be in MIDI format when the PC version released like ages ago. They swapped the music in an update when they released it on Steam.

Every single time I've replayed FFVII since Wada revealed the PS3 tech demo, I've imagined every frame, every background of this game in "next-gen" graphics. Today, I don't need to let my brain do the thinking... I still can't fucking believe it. I don't.In-Game

I'm kinda bummed out they included cheats. No encounter I am sorta ok with but the whole stat boost thing is really messing with the gameplay desing.
