Final Fantasy VII is one of those hugely popular games I've never played. Seeing I've got 10 quid PSN credit I might as well jump in now.
The translation and performance.
It's so fucking perfect, I doubt I'll ever change it to anything else.
i used the r3 button that filled my hp, mp, and limit and used my limit break and got the limit break trophy as a result.... so no?

Click r3 during battle = Full health, mana + Limit break. Can be used seemingly any number of times. Doesn't even have a "confirm?" dialogue.
in mid fight you can push r3 to instantly heal you back to full and give you your limit break. I did it in the first fight to see what it did. After I used the limit break it gave me the trophy for using a limit break. So the cheat is a god mode button that didn't disable me from unlocking a trophy.

Well... that's stupid.
"Congratulations, you cheated your way through Ruby Weapon! Here's your platinum trophy."
The 3x speed boost feels more fluid than the normal speed. I presume because it's running it at 45 fps.
Can anyone tell me why they implemented this cheat boost system in the first place? Wouldn't the game be too easy by spamming limit breaks all the time?

Same here. If the game had gotten a from scratch translation, I would have paid the price they are asking. As it currently is, it's a fucking ripoff. I'll just play the game in Mednafen if I get an urge to replay it.
i wouldve been okay with it if it was a think where you pressed the button after a battle and it gave health and mp back, but giving it all back mid battle countless times is just flatout a cheat mode. Might as well just turn encounters off and LB bosses over and over again.

What a weird addition to shortcut a cheat to the R3 stick. I wonder why they felt they needed to include it. Kinda takes away the appeal of going for the platinum now :/
