I'm betting on lots of:
walls and buildings destroyed
quick cuts, close ups, shaky cam
punches to the face
throwing of big, heavy stuff
explosions
in other words - as generic as it can get. I'm hoping to be surprised though.

I mean you make anything broad enough and it can sound like anything.
Ha, I was saying how much I liked this thread last night with actual discussion, but now we're back to the silliness that usually ruins actual discourse.
SIGH
It's in line with most action movies in general on the cheese scale. People are just being difficult. It would be no different from picking at instant classic Fury Road lines like:The dialogue is fine, and in line with every other superhero movie in terms of "corniness".
Everything you quoted is awful in my opinion. My prior post applies to all of that.
You are arguing with a guy with a All Star Batman avatar.
It's a comic book movie brehs.also his name is BadAss2961
Juvenile displays of masculinity and douchebag machoism is his turn-on
This is a 16 page thread on a30 second chunk of the movie.
If we assume this trend continues, and the movie weighs in at ~120 minutes, the OT(s) will weigh in at 3120 pages.
Food for thought.
Ok. This is what you call a cop out. Saying the line is terrible without any real reason other than "it doesn't sound right" or "it sounds like fan-fiction" isn't a legit criticism. And I hope you expect clever writing in every small clip from every movie, all the time.
I'm done.
Neither one of you are believable nor are the silly, asinine, and obtuse comments in here.
The clip is fine. The dialogue is fine. No, it's not Shakespeare and it's not something that attempts to be oscar worthy, but it's fine for a comic book movie. There are worse, flatter lines in so many other movies.
And, if you expected more, I'd suggest watching the movie. I'm sure this isn't the only time they taunt of talk to each other.
I'm not a writer, I don't have to have a "better" scene written to criticize it. If you want a comparison though, it strikes me as something that was written by someone who almost exclusively watches anime supercuts on youtube set to Linkin Park.
"Do you bleed? You will"? I mean.... its trying so hard to be badass that it just is corny to me.
You can counter with motivations or the scene or whatever else reason you enjoy it- but for me, the execution is off. To pull off dialogue like that, the tone and framing has to be perfect, and this isn't doing it for me.
I watched the snippet from Conan because this movie piqued my curiosity (as did Man of Steel, but I never saw it). Superman was a beloved character of my childhood. I watched the clip and thought it was awful, and boom, here's a GAF thread about it to comment in. I got roped into seeing X-Men Origins: Wolverine a few years back and I'm still angry about it because it was as bad as the trailers made it look.
I enjoy film. I will admit, I do not profess to be a fan of "comicbook" movies.
I don't have the context of the scene. I'm vaguely familiar with the characters and it just comes off as juvenile. If you want me to believe that these two characters are at odds, you have to do some clever writing, and when they engage in discourse, I want it to be more than chest-thumping bullshit. "The bat is dead," said Superman to Batman. Give me a fucking break. It's bad fan-fiction. I'd rather watch James Hetfield wrestle with his desire to play on stage with Sonic and his friends.

Was that a rage post?
Ugh.
Sorry.
Given the movie is predicated on the mass destruction caused at the end of MoS, I wonder how the pivot from that into seemingly more mass destruction in the Doomsday fight. Maybe the Justice League is formed as a way for Batman and co. to keep closer tabs on Superman rather than an actual friendly teamup?
I just want to ask one question... We all are aware that his "Do you bleed?" line isn't really supposed to be taken literally, right? It's Batman asking Superman, "Are you one of us?/Can you be trusted?/Are you more human than you appear?" and his "You will" is Batman's vow to make him "one of us/humble him" if he continues to abuse his powers (as Batman sees it). Yes, you can take that quote at face value and it still works, but I've never really done that.

At any rate this is the DC Movieverse film for which I'm most hopeful. A different time period, a unique directorial perspective and, if the whispers I hear from inside Batman v Superman are correct, Gal Gadot in a role she was born to play.
Man of Steel begs to differ... it was very well executed.
Something along the lines of
"Next time they shine your light, don't go. The Bat is dead. Consider this mercy."
"Tell, me do you bleed?"
Flies away
"You will"
these threads just wear on the soul.
No, it's not fine. These aren't new characters. If they are adversaries, they need to act in a manner consistent with their characters. If they are talking to each other like they are mortal enemies who are also teenage pricks, then what's the point?Ok. This is what you call a cop out. the dialogues in this movie until now sound soooooo bad :/
if two guys on the street would talk like that they would get strange looks or get beaten up XD

I'm laughing here, because you're assuming there's a huuuuge leap in tech to combine the two. Have you seen the last CES? The fantastical technology is sound. The science fiction logic is sound.
We're in an era of miniaturization, and so because it's not visible, it doesn't exist, despite the fact that a TECH MANUAL is being released for the film:
http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Superman-Dawn-Justice-Manual/dp/1785650602
The exact equivalent to Star Wars 7's visual dictionary that happily, and carefully, describes ships, gadgets, and other fictional things. The cover alone expressly shows us that the cowl is more than mere carbon fibre... Apologies for the tone, but c'mon, this should be the least of your worries...
What a strange comparison. If I hear two guys on the street talk like that I would say they sound like comic book characters.
oh

And you have some nerve questioning my sincerity. Shit is bad, and I fucking mean it.
This wasn't a random clip, it was a clip they selected to show off to prospective customers. There is no way I will watch this movie.

Wait, it's me making assumptions?
You made the the point about voice modulators attaching on the throat. "It's not like Navy SEALS shout to one another across combat zones", lol. A voice modulator isn't a radio system; it's a device which takes sound as an input, modifies it, and outputs the results. That's why throat microphones don't need speakers and voice modulators do.
And it's not like I have an issue with it. You responded to a post saying that it was odd, I explained that the example you used doesn't translate, then you laughed and referenced a fictional book that isn't even out in a weirdly hostile post. The point simply was that it is jarring hearing a modulated voice coming from Batman because you can't see where it's coming from; they might explain how it works in the film but they didn't in the clip. Unless there's something in his throat there's no obvious place where the voice is being modulated.
Yeah, a concealed voice mod is so out there for one of the richest men in the world who fights crime in a Batsuit and has armored vehicles, aircrafts, and gadgets up the ass.
I gotta admit, the voice mod breaking up mid brooding sentence would be some funny shit.
I wonder what films you watch that make this look like a YouTube projectAs someone who appreciates films that are well put together, I feel as though everything here is straight out of some bad Youtube fanmade project. The musical/aural queues, the shot framing, the acting, the writing--it's all scraping the bottom of the barrel. It seems like the movie is taking itself so seriously, and it comes across as a parody.
Good luck to anyone who's a fan. This just doesn't look good.

It screams bad decisions by the marketing team. What is being shown appears like it can be a part of a really good movie.
It's just the kind of case where I'll have to wait and see the final product because the promotional material is not doing it any favours.
This thread is literally the angriest thread I've seen in awhile.
Good lord.
The suspension of disbelief has to occur at some point. Why can I hear Spider-Man and Deadpool perfectly through their masks? It should sound muffled. I don't need an explanation that I can also hear Iron Man through his mask stated to me, when I figured out myself he probably has some sort of speaker system built into the armor. Are we really gonna harp on the voice modulator?
I mean Mission Impossible had tech like that 20 years ago
It's not a big deal
