I am really not liking the bullet sponge effect of enemies
It makes perfect sense if you'd ever done P&P Role play. Nothing I've said is out of keeping with what you'll find at Wikipedia on the subject tbh. The modern confusion largely has arisen because the whole acquisition 'levels and loot' model from D&D has become a computer game design staple to the point where it seems natural from a marketing perspective to tack 'RPG' onto the end in the sales pitch in lieu of 'action adventure' even if there's not actually any role playing or choice and consequence in the traditional sense with regard to player agency in a product.

Jackfrags just said on stream, he is waiting for that 50 min footage to be processed in 1440p and 60fps. So youtube then increases the bitrate because of the 1440p.
So PC footage coming today?
No still Xbox.So PC footage coming today?
It's an OWTPSRPG
And people need to fucking move on if they can't get it.
Its been stated for the last 2.....now going on 3 years that it's an RPG first and foremost. Meaning enemies will take longer then real life to kill and have health bars. I hope these people bitching Also complain when goblins don't die by one swing of their sword in other games, or why does the main character take godly amounts of bullets in GTA when he should die in one shot.
If they complain about sponges in an RPG game they better be bitching about all the flaws in every other non realistic game.
This. Ubisoft has made it clear what this game is.
Go to paint A, kill everything.
Now go to point B and kill everything.
Now go to point C kill everything.
Now go to points DEFGHIJKL and you guessed it, kill everything.
Tired of that shit.
I just watched that Angry Joe video and it has been a long time since I have seen someone be so bad at video games.

Yea agreed. It made me freeze up to see how bad he is when in his videos he talks about how he likes to play strategically. He went lone wolf so many times and start shooting enemies without alerting anyone else. He's the type I would not want to play with in a group.
That might be difficult considering the even he was at, I was deconstructing his movement and positioning and it was terrible. He was always putting himself in the worst possible positions.

If you break it down, that's pretty much what most games entail. Repetitive sets in if the surrounding content isn't well made and varied. If you tear down all of that, most games are pretty damn repetitive.
I enjoyed how he had to ask how to mod weapons what with a huge "X TO MOD" on the screen and then managed to put the grip on only to take it off again and not having it equipped at all.
He also sounded like he was either drunk or extremely tired which didn't make it better to listen to XD
I forgot about that, best part of the video.
So do we know the extent of the map or are we still making guesses?
The Division seems cool, but I can already see what's coming. It's that game most folks here are hyped on, reviews will be decent, but then a week later there will be a dozen threads calling the game shit for downgrading & lack of content.
From what I see I suggest everyone put their expectations in check so that they just enjoy the game for what it will ultimately be: A somewhat watered down Destiny.

And if I remember right the red outline was alpha correct?
I think so, yes

Yep. But I think the problem is for some (or maybe a lot of) gamers they feel putting a full clip into a human that is running at them with no armor, takes them out of their experience. As opposed to having an alien run at them taking a full clip because that's "realistic" (Lol).
It's about the journey, not the destination.Go to paint A, kill everything.

Like,I will never understand how people who literally earn their living by playing video games can have less "video game instinct" than me.
Like,I look at a third person shooter like Division and I just KNOW how it plays.
I have played so many games, this shit is all the same in the end and the controls are 95% the same every time. But I have a job that has nothing to do with games that steals all my time away from them and then people like him get paid to play them but know less about them than me.
HOW?
Alright thanks. Kinda disappointing to see the size but hopefully indoor areas alleviate that. They will need to have a fast pace content release schedule or I don't think people will stick around

first ultra pc footage incoming?!?!
I doubt it, I believe there is still an NDA on the PC version at least for another week or so....surprised those LQ settings vids havent been taken down yet

So does this game for sure scale the difficulty and experience to how many people are playing it?
In other words, if I play 2 player co op with my wife will be at a severe disadvantage to a 4 player team?
The teams are 3 player max.
And it does scale, you will be fine.
Awesome. Great to hear that. So its 3 player like Destiny?
Its 4 players max
Are you sure? I thought it was 3 player groups? I have never seen more than 3.
I was in a group of 4 in the alpha.
What do I actually get out of spending my time on this?
