In this day and age, any multiplayer FPS game should have all the things required to support the competitive side of the game. Destiny right now is like having a fighting game but no versus mode. Yeah. It's a pretty ridiculous situation. The speed run competition ended up being fun in spite of it. But that doesn't detract from the truth in your assertion--PvP is so screwed that it can't even be streamed competitively.

I recorded three or so ridiculous lag deaths in a single game of Control tonight. Every time I play, I bet I could record as many. And the opponent in question was supposedly green bar, even.

Destiny PvP never used to feel that way. It used to be solid and reliable. Now, between RNG bullets, ostensibly busted hit detection, and lag, it's a joke.
