I've said it a couple of times, but just to re-iterate, the announcers fucked Carsons entrance. They weren't supposed to call him in that order. The order you get called in indicates your position in the polls. Being called 2nd roughly means you're 2nd to last in the polls. Carson isn't 2nd to last in the polls, and additionally they were told in advance the order they were going to get called in, and Carson wasn't second. So he didn't want to go out because that makes him look like he's at the bottom of the polls, which he wasn't

Nah, the simple truth is that he didn't hear his name called and then reacted with a mix of polite confusion. He's not the brightest bulb in the pack afterall, but this was pretty squarely the moderators fault for mis-handling the entrance in several ways. I feel worse for Kasick, they just straight up completely forgot about him.

Trump listened all right, but he saw Carson standing there and decided to wait. He tried to save him, basically.
Except Carson was supposed to be introduced second and he knew it. He even said as much the first time he got to speak. He just couldn't hear her announce him:

The amount of times I quickly googled because my brain said "Well that's not true" is crazy. Trump said that you didn't hear about executive orders with Reagan like with Obama because he cut deals. I looked it up and Obama has less than Reagan. Rubio starts talking about deportations under Clinton and then Bush and then just doesn't say under Obama. Why? Because Obama has deported a ton. There's no discrimination against muslim Americans because there are crescent moons in the military cemeteries? What? Waterboarding isn't torture and we should bring it back? WTF?
Christie's talk about wealth leaving New Jersey isn't quite correct either: "while the paper goes into a detailed argument on why tax migration makes financial sense, it states at the beginning that "this paper does not provide proof or hard evidence that high income and/or high net worth residents are leaving New Jersey because of high taxes." Finally, it says the average adjusted gross income of the people leaving New Jersey for Florida is $74,000 a year. People making $74,0000 a year are not subject to the millionaire's tax—that only applies to $500,000 a year earners."
I also literally want to fucking waterboard each and every one of these people until they admit that even under Obama America is still the strongest military on the face of the earth and cutting it a bit doesn't fucking take that away.
Also, come the fuck on Jeb, trying to say Keystone is "public use" is just laughable.

i felt like it was #2, but Carson didn't hear his name getting called, that's why he was standing around.
he said as much later in the debate, it was very quick and kind of mumbly, so it was easily missable
