But I mean he is an actual employee of SE so it isn't a surprise he can't say anything. Even if he wasn't but do we know when exactly he started working on VsXIII/XV?

Yep, IIRC he confirmed some of the other characters (like Gentiana) as his, but maybe he should not have, lol.
I do believe Aranea is his design though.

Does Nomura even wanna draw an artbook for this game anymore..? I'm not assuming he's really bitter or still upset or anything like that... but I can't help but suspect he doesn't wanna draw an artbook for the game UNLESS he was paid a good amount of money to do it.
And doesn't he like have Kingdom Hearts 2.8 to release this year, Kingdom Hearts 3 to release 2017 and even the first episode of FF7R to release in 2017? Busy guy, busy guy.
OH! And I actually managed to find a pic of him standing by a poster for FF XV.
I REALLY want an artbook to be included in the Collector's Edition, by the way.

??? But Nomura has a distinct art-style... wouldn't it be incredibly obvious to tell in an artbook which characters he drawn and which he didn't?
Unless the art-book is full of the models from the game and sketches.

He is still credited as main character designer and I am sure that they have many drawings over the years they could use. Also I think Nomura will contribute in some way.

I hope he contributes... because if Nomura isn't having a hand in the artbook then we aren't gonna have drawings of Stella, original Regis or any other stuff from Versus days.

I'm not trying to make him sound petty. I'm trying to say that I want him to do the artbook because I like his art-style (even if its cringe-worthy at times). I wanna see his designs for Versus because its interesting stuff. But I highly doubt we're gonna see much of that stuff in the artbook if he doesn't want anything to do with it. Like I said, he has multiple huge projects on his plate. And who even knows how he truly feels about XV deep down in his heart? It's easy to assume he's fine with it just like its easy to assume he's secretly upset about it.
I REALLY want a section in the artbook to be just dedicated to him and a few other key members who were working on Versus just talking about designs and concepts they were thinking about. I HIGHLY doubt that will happen because that's bringing up a past Square Enix rather not share and FF XV is Tabata's show now. UNLESS Square Enix is actually cool with showing stuff from Versus.
Meh... I dunno. I'm probably making a big deal outta nothing.

Oh, I'm not sure why we are complaining about the detail on the bricks. That was Duscae though AKA the past. We haven't really seen what Duscae looks like in the final build. I still find it silly to judge these types of things. You'd think that out of all the complaints for FFXV, it would be something else like character switching. Personally, I would rather hang out in Altissia than Duscae but I will go everywhere the world has to offer.

It's all good. I forgot there was an English voice acted trailer a few pages back :lol been following this game for so long and forgot something like that :lol
But I don't feel that Nomura is jaded too much. I think in the end he is just going to be happy that the game will see the light of day but it will be bittersweet for him.

Most NPCs in FFX, X-2, XIII, XIII-2 and LR were never designed by Nomura, yet they blend in well with Nomura's characters (except Team NORA, those guys are horrendous).
Also, most drawings in artbooks are done before the release of the game FOR the development of the game, not specifically for an artbook. I'm sure they already have tons of Nomura sketches and drawings that they could put in an artbook.

Wind effects have always been there, my friend. And yeah... those ships carries robotic enemies that we gotta take down.

Yes the one's in the base footage are the same. Though the base footage also has the older model(the ones that carry guns).
Basically the old ones were all purpose automatons, but the new ones(seen in Duscae) are prototypes that are specialized for warfare. It shows the shifting interests of Nifelheim.
Also when it comes to wind, in the demo it's only triggered in very specific situations(ie. enemies flying in), but in the final game it seems it will appear depending on the weather and location(like being close to the coast).
Playing through the demo again, I think the amount of foliage in Duscae is alright, we won't see TGS 2014 levels on console that's for sure.
The quality of the textures, IQ, AF, and maybe some sort shadows for foliage would go a long way of making it look incredible. I doubt we'll see huge improvements over Duscae, but I really hope they can make this game look like the beautiful game we've seen, only now on consoles.

I have honestly never noticed the clipping during my multiple runs of the demo. I honestly hope that this issue is fixed because it will look dumb with a game that is focusing detail into every little thing. I mean, not a deal breaker or anything but, I hate clipping in games. It annoys me so much. It is also very noticeable in that gif... yikes.

I don't think there's a simple fix. There's clipping in like every game.

With a new Uncharted PS4 I really don't think FF gets it's own PS4 like some people are hoping.
It will in Japan at least.

They did four NA LE's last year (Batman, Destiny, CoD, and SW). Right now there's only one this year (Uncharted). I don't think they'll do another CoD LE this year.

Yeah... I don't think we're gonna get one in NA either BUT I bet there will be FF XV specialized face-plates to decorate our PS4s with. I'm sure somebody will cook up an awesome looking FF XV face-plate.

Yeah but all of those are HUGE franchises. Yes FF is a massive franchise but in terms of sales those games really outsell them and Batman and SW at least aren't solely gaming IPs. CoD always sells a fuck ton and Destiny had a massive original launch and is still a huge game.
I would love to see an FF console over hear but I would be surprised. I think a FF7r console is more likely in a couple years.
All I need is a nice CE though. (Which we will get)
Edit: I should clarify when I am talking about outselling isn't as a franchise as a whole but on a game per game basis.
