Batman V Superman Final Trailer

I think I've lost your point. Or, at least, this point doesn't match your initial complaint. You said the fight is "meaningless" because you know they team up. But we always knew they teamed up. So, you just don't like how they're teaming up. Basically, you don't like Doomsday, I guess.
The fight is meaningless because they team up before the end of the film. Either the movie is going to feel like it didn't do enough justice to the versus portion of the film to get to the finale, or the versus stuff is going to feel well done (our characters will go through their character arcs and learn to be buddies) and have a bolted on finale where they team up to fight the bad guy of the week.

I can't see in any way how having them team up to fight a big monster at the end is beneficial to the film.

Holy shit, the trailer I've been waiting for! Batman looks incredible and is exactly what I wanted. Can the tickets go on sale already!?

After that blocked punch we'd better get this.

Man I have a hard time believing in Batman's armor. A Superman punch is a hell of a punch to block. He basically made a suit that turned him into a god of the cosmos and thats just crazy to me.

And Beating Superman with Kryptonite is like killing Batman in his sleep. That shit isn't exciting.

It's just a movie.

This is assuming the fight ends to simply fight Doomsday instead. And considering Lex goes on an entire rant about "If man won't kill God..." it's pretty safe to assume Batman and Superman have already settled by that point. They don't even know who Wonder Woman is yet at that point.

That's what I'm saying. Versus stuff is the interesting stuff, if that is already resolved on its own by the time the cgi monster shows up, what does the cgi monster accomplish?

So is it safe to assume that somehow Batman created a device that changes the atmosphere in an area and he changes it to be like Krypton?

I know i've heard Zack Snyder say before that he didn't built the powered suit to defeat Superman, but rather to survive for a time.

Wait what? Shouldnt that kill him? Or is it gonna be some comic book bs that he has a stable version or some shit.

Weakens not instantly kills and we don't know how much be has. Half of it could be covered in lead to kill the radiation for all we know.

Having a Trinity fight. Which for anyone who likes when the Trinity team up that's enough.

The suit has kryptonite in it. It's been confirmed.

We'll have to see, won't we?

It seems likely though, that if the "Batman V Superman" aspect does end with a truce, it'd be a "you do your thing, and I'll do mine" truce, knowing these two characters.

It's likely that, having to work alongside each other and Wonder Woman, will lead that truce into a formal alliance, essentially being the "Dawn of Justice" aspect of the film.

Best trailer so far. But still something about Afflecks face puts me off.

For me it's the other way around. Cavill makes up for such an unlikeable Superman, I just want to see his face caved in by Bats.

I think it's the constant scowling. Superman isn't meant to be scowling and pouting around. He is all powerful.

And FUCK YES at the Batman laying down some justice on those goons. Proper brilliant stuff.

But how? I didn't think that existed in this universe? And wouldn't Superman be affected immediately?

It's in this universe

EW:

If you’re going toe-to-toe with the son of Jor-El, you better come correct. For his climactic rooftop brawl with Superman, Batman outfits himself with a reinforced mech-suit equipped with strength-augmenting armor and, yes, kryptonite. The design resembles the one used for the confrontation between these two in Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns.

But how? I didn't think that existed in this universe? And wouldn't Superman be affected immediately?

I dont think there's a Superman universe where Kryptonite doesn't exist. Also, it's possible that Cavill's Superman has never seen/experienced the affects by Kryptonite before, so he might not be aware of the power drain until its too late.

Butt rock aside, that's a great trailer. Feels like they're leaning into Batman quite a bit, but I imagine he's way easier to sell.

Glad we saw Wonder Woman actually get to utter a line of dialogue this time.

That looks
comically
bad. Every trailer has gotten me less excited, as it seems that synder or the studio is endeavoring to kill any element of nuance that this could of had. I mean, a fucking guitar riff when he punches the batman, seriously?

Different iterations of kryptonite effect different iterations of Superman differently. If "kryptonite" in this movie just replicates atmospheric conditions of Krypton when Superman is exposed to it it's not going to physically hurt him as he'd adpated to it. It just drains his abilities. To what extent I'm not sure because it's obviously not a contained exposure.

Interesting, missed that article. Thanks and sorry.

Just interesting because as soon as he stepped on the Krypton ship his powers were drained immediately. I am sure it will be explained in the film.

Having a Trinity fight. Which for anyone who likes when the Trinity team up that's enough.

Considering it's not a wonder woman film, the trinity is meaningless to me as a film goer. If most of the film is about the batman/superman conflict, that ends, and the film is suddenly a very different feeling film, I can't imagine that being a positive.

Seriously not a fan of this film, Snyder or Man of Steel but holy fuck Batman was awesome in the beginning.

That's exactly how I feel.
Hated Man of Steel, don't like the look of Batman vs Superman but most definitely want a stand alone Batman film in this universe as soon as possible.
Just dont let Snyder direct it!

Batman fighting in the beginning was cool... everything else I'm not really excited for. I'm still of the opinion they should've made a new Batman movie before doing this, but whateva

Well maybe Affleck's solo movie will be good! :)

This looked fucking amazing.

Seriously who the fuck was in charge of that previous trailer? This is what it should have been in the first place.

Haven't liked the look of this movie since trailer one but I'm on side now and completely hyped. Kind of glad I've only got hyped now as there's not much of a wait!

Snyder's Batman looks insane, a lot of power behind him. Really like what I'm seeing.

Music sucked but it's not part of the score so w/e.

So (speculation from various trailers)
It looks like the Batwing has a remote pilot function. Lex must hijack it, one of the earlier teasers showed that same scene, but the Batwing blowing people up

Also Batfans out in full force today, lmao. If reporting can be trusted, Superman has a lot of great moments in the movie as well.

Fucking hell that was awesome. That Batman fight at the beginning just wipes the floor with everything we've seen in prior movies.

Well, Affleck looks like a great Batman and Bruce Wayne, which is all I'm asking for with this film honestly. I actually have pretty low expectations with the film and the entire set up so far, but when it comes to Batman, you gotta fucking deliver.

I'm officially sold.

I mean, this makes sense. Assuming they remove the part of the equation where Kryptonite is radioactive.

It's in the movie title. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Yes, Wonder Woman is an integral part of that.

I'm just not seeing it lol this movie is gonna be great.

Yeah this trailer sold me. Was originally just gonna see it out of obligation, but this is the first time I've actually wanted to.

Damn good job making Batman actually appear like a threat in a fight.
