Yeah, there's no way Snyder didn't get inspired from the games. I never thought the Arkham games would have this much influence. I'm glad, because they're good.

I'd agree and say The Town is a bit better than Argo. For me, it's that it simply has more action... but Argo is still a good watch.

This would be an awesome idea. I hate how depowered Superman gets when he is close to green kryptonite. Now a depowered superman who can still fight and run like a very strong human being (hey, he's still huge compared to the average human) and maybe fly? that would be great.

Henry Cavill is so good as superman, at least by his physical looks. Really hope the Justice League film doesn't get canned or delayed. If Cavill could maintain his physique at an older age, he could even do an older superman.

Right!?? My young self would probably explode from sheer joy to see this happen on-screen and to have it look this damn good. Hell, I can barely contain my geek glee now, in my old age.

Marvel or DC, if you like comics and heroes at all, this shit just looks crazy.
 
It's looking more lame at each attempt to advertise it as a "serious" super hero movie.

I mean, is a Batman and Superman movie. It can't be serious, it can't be "realistic".

The tone should be less "EPIC FILM OF AWESOMENESS" and more "cool action/cgi flick".

Can't wait for people complaining "physics" are wrong or that a character did something dumb (in a comic book movie!).

Yeah, I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. As a comic book nerd, give me epic films of awesomeness, especially when its Bats vs Supes and the birth of the Justice League (with Darkseid hints at that!).

Also, something like Kingdom Come is entirely serious and works perfectly as such--now, adapting that to screen would be very difficult, but making it a "cool cgi/action flick", for example, would be a waste of everyone's time and source material.

Same reason Tony Stark survives being bounced around despite his Iron Man suit having no padding (or even room for padding/magic shock absorbing gel, etc)

Give Kingdom Come to George Miller and make it 100% CGI-animated, art directed to look like Alex Ross' paintings.

75% of these fucking movies are animated anyway, honestly. Just take off the restraints and go whole hog with it. Fuck it. Allow yourself the freedom the material calls for.

Must be laced with kryptonite, right after that the blocked punch happens
Guessing Superman will cone to understand what can make him weak and vulnerable
Batman was the guy to show him and what Luthor can do with it

That Kingdom Come dream, and an animated Spidey film, have been my two biggest wants for superhero filmmaking ever since its resurgence in the early 2000s.

Total pipedreams. Conventional wisdom says animated adaptations of superhero properties must be low-budget direct to video. And so it is. (I don't believe Sony's gonna actually go through with that Lord & Miller Spidey flick)

You could spend 200 mil trying to get us to believe in Henry Cavill, or you could spend 200 mil giving us the perfect Superman without having to worry about making him live-action believable.

We roll with Cavill.

Even though Pixar is right fucking there, year in year out, showing everybody how to do it.

Sounds nice, but a pipe dream for sure. I see a bust of epic proportions there. Especially to use Kingdom Come for this, which is a little too heavy and can't be followed up with anything. Pixar keeps it fun and brings the kids, just like all the rest of the big budget animations that make money.

I didn't get any BvS trailer whatsoever :( , just Eddie the Eagle, Alice in Wonderland sequel, X-Men, and Civil War.

Kingdom Come would required a miniseries at least. No way even Zack Snyder could cram that much story into one film. Establish JLA, retire them, establish new guys, make us hate them, split factions of old guys vs new guys, end with UN fistfight + nuke. That would be a good capping film before a reboot of all their heroes though

Why not? It's only like 250 pages long. Civil War for instance was much larger and it's in a single movie. (edit: actually I guess the standalone Civil War paperback is 208 pages. I was thinking of the ~500 page oversized hardcover.)

This Superman doesn't really know HOW to fight, Zod was kicking his ass and had several Blocks, Parries and Kill shots on him that he was able to tank thanks to his invulnerability.

Not that I care at all about Batman surviving these kinds of blows in his armor but it's pretty obvious the Iron Man armor is way more advanced and intricate than Bruce's. It's gotten to the point where it's practically a kind of magic, so it's easier to just brush off his durability and protection as super future-tech. Batman's looks like literal armor with strength augmentation. In the end though, that he can survive a blow from Superman in that armor is no less believable than him taking out a few dozen armed thugs single handed.

He designed the Iron Man armor with the intent of fighting in the middle east so it's not a stretch to imagine that he built it to withstand anti aircraft guns.

Then it breaks when he gets hit by a truck in IM3

lol, I'm not excusing Tony surviving the hits he takes. All of it is unbelievable. I'm just saying the Iron Man armor being a lot more sophisticated than the Bat-armor, at least from what we've seen so far, is probably why the complaint hadn't been brought up before for the former but is being raised for the latter. Batman's armor looks more like the Mark I armor than any of the iron man armors that followed.

All of this shit is movie magic logic anyway! C'mon, a man that flies? Get outta here.

lol. It is what it is. The Iron Man suit is whatever they want to it to be at any given moment. It pretty much does take the I aint' gotta explain shit approach.

I like how the Bat Armor is just forged together by Alfred and Bruce. Totally fits this Batman. It's also a nice step towards the R&D prep time guru we've been waiting for.
 
I would prefer if Superman just slapped Batman around for a couple of minutes before Batman gives and is like "shit, okay, maybe I was wrong" but I understand that is both not fair to Batman fans and just not very compelling.

I do hope there is a scene close to the end (maybe even post credits) where Batman is like "I almost had you though" and Superman says, "No you didn't."
