I think it looks fantastic. significantly better than the Vita version, and of course the 3D areas (ie, the majority of the game) are natively rendered in your selected resolution.

So when booting this up on my laptop the only resolution option I get is 1536x864, any ideas why that could be? Laptop should be able to go up to 1080p by the way.

Do you by chance have any DPI scaling enabled? I just googled it and it seems to be a common problem across various programs.

Thanks for the screenshot, the 2D elements are what I like the most and they're too blurry for my liking.

Figured out issue, it was because of DPI scaling like you said and trying to run it in Borderless mode. Game was also glitching out until i switched to OpenGL.

I just can't get over the low-resolution text. I understand the character but did they lose the vectors for the font or something? Heck, even if they did, I'd actually rather them choose a new font over sticking in the low resolution one.

It's broken up into chapters and it has some natural stopping points to take a breather. Playing it in chunks works fine.

If it's your first one? Sure, I think this is a good one to start with. Especially if you like horror stuff.

Definitely. I actually think this is a really good starter VN, because it's visually arresting and very well-paced. There aren't any obtuse puzzles or anything to get in the way of your progression, either.

Yes. If you can appreciate murder mystery/thriller type movies, books, etc - this will be for you.

However, it will lead you into trying other awesome VNs.

While it's a visual novel, it also has an adventure/exploration mode akin to the Ace Attorney games so it's not just reading.

It does have mystery and suspense elements (more thriller and less horror) so yeah, I'd recommend this game, especially since this may be the definitive version of it.

Yeah, Shift was a bad choice for the skip button... I've skipped text by mistake a few times now by opening the Steam overlay

Ah well that explains is. Left Shift was a really poor choice on them, I hope they'll change it eventually or add option for custom key binding.

OS X always seems to be ignored by Japanese studios. I'm not sure why. They ported this to iOS, so it wouldn't have been that hard to use that as the basis for a Mac version. Although it looks like they've pulled the iOS version from the App Store as well? I guess the only way for me to ever play Danganronpa is to pick up a PSTV.

I'm not sure if you already got it answered, but it's up for Windows and OSX with Linux coming soon.
