I am pretty sure it was an automatic email since they had no stock Thursday.
I got my shipping email for today. I mostly blame Nintendo since today was a street date and not a ship date.

For those of you who ordered online, why? It's much more reliable with in-store pickup. Unless you don't have a BB nearby, I guess.

Best buy is far away through a very high traffic area, and they did send me an in-store pickup ready email for a game and then when I went in they didn't actually have it. Other than this particular game I've had great success having things mailed to me.

When I went to get mine from the store, the employees already prep them by attaching the keychain to each Special Edition box with a rubberband. I didn't need to asked. They should still have the keychains as they can't sell them(they go for $1000 when scanned).

Just picked mine up from Best Buy. I gotta say whoever placed the sticker on is a good person as just the corner of the sticker was pressed against the box (which came off with no damage done.) I regret making the mistake of checking prices on ebay because I'm not going to sell it, but a part of me wishes I would sell it. Getting 200-250 for something I paid 70 for would be really nice.

Amazon hit me with the manila bubble mailer. I was pissed but somehow it didn't get dinged up too bad.

I did (after going back), though they may have done it for the other copies. I was there as the door was opened. The employee said she wasn't even aware of the game coming out since she was away all week, and had to bring them out from the back.

Seems YMMV. Anyone who hasn't picked their (GameStop) copy up yet, REMEMBER THE KEYCHAINS!

Will report back. I legitimately had no idea about the keychains until I peeked back in here. I guess it's a good thing I did, but who knows if I'll even get mine now because Gamestop gonna Gamestop.

Maybe just bring your receipt. They weren't attached when I picked up mine but she was like don't forget your awesome key chain!

You get these keychains if you preordered them from Gamestop. Funny thing I learn about these keychains, when you scanned the barcode on them in the stores computer, it goes for $1000. I guess Gamestop don't want any shenanigans happening with their employees for these keychains.

Birthright is more like awakening and better for new players. Conquest is more difficult and for series vets.

Thanks! I will probably go with Conquest then since I'm just going to play Casual mode. I don't mind losing if people don't die permanently.

The cardboard for those boxes are about the thickness of a cereal box cardboard. They aren't going to be crushed, because the artbook + the game case + pouch fills it out. I can see that the corner that the pouch is under can be vulnerable though.

What a day with this. I go to EB Games 5 minutes after it opens and see about 8 people in line. The guy at the register told everyone that Conquest was already sold out sadly, but the guy in front of me decided to sell me his order for retail price (I was extremely grateful). I pick up my order of the Fates Console (it is BEAUTIFUL imo) and walk out of the store with my friends.

Now, the only reason I got Conquest was because Amazon delayed my Birthright copy. Right when I got home the SE went up on Amazon. I naturally ordered it right away after attempting to get a copy for months. Amazon charged right away and its getting ready to ship today. Then my Birthright copy was shipped...

Now what should I do? I want to play my SE so I can get all the bonuses for having the paths, but I REALLY want to play my Conquest copy now. BUT, if I do that I'll have to restart when the SE arrives next week. Then there's the business of Birthright, which I got for $35 CAD (after tax) from the E3 promo ($49.99 CAD MSRP).

Sell them? Collect them? I'm not really sure at this point.
