Street Fighter V |OT| No Options to Select

Does Ken have a move that gives invincibility temporarily?
Or pass through hadouken etc?
At close range his critical art will do it. Maybe ex shoryu?

He doesn't have any normal moves that will go through a fireball that I'm aware of, but maybe a normal shoryu at the right time and distance? That's something to try in training mode.

Been online for almost an hour now and have only been connected to 4 ranked games. Super stuff, these Street Fighter V servers. Lobbies really should have been a priority for launch. Even a fucking rematch option would have been welcome. Anything is better than staring at a connecting screen for the majority of your time. The entire online component feels archaic as fuck.

Losing Normal Survival to Bison, especially after only getting a low HP power up before is the worst. He had almost no life left.

Maybe this video will give you some ideas. Could always try asking CountBlackule in the FGH gaming community thread too for more info.

Your CFN account is independent of your platform, meaning that if you double dip then your fight money should be there whether you log in on PC or PS4, right?
However, I don't think saves and achievements are cross-platform. Does that mean that you can earn fight money on PC, then log on PS4, do the same things again and earn double the fight money?
You'd think this would be the case, but unfortunately no. Separate accounts for each platform.

and cant pull off a shoryuken online again despite in training i can do it 100% of the time. If it wasnt for the fact I have no problems in training i'd think my controller was fucked or something

Quick question, looking into buying a fighting gamepad for this game, is the Hori Fighting Commander 4 compatible with Street Fighter V? Reading some reviews, found a couple of review sites saying that is not.

I have yet to play online because I keep hearing about all these issues. I tried once and waited 20 minutes for a match before I gave up. I'm hoping things are improved soon so I can finally play online.

D-input devices aren't natively recognized on SF5 PC yet. You can use a third party program to get it to work, but YMMV.

just got corner fucked by a Karin myself
Well then, I guess we are in the same boat. At least it's a little comforting to know that I'm not the only one getting his ass kicked.

Thanks, I'll watch the video and hopefully learn a few things from it.

This is my biggest issue currently. I know what all my buttons/combos do and can do them vs cpu/training, but when it comes to ranked/casual I drop or mess up the inputs 2/3rds the time.

I have this one : http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71QpEEbCyFL._SX385_.jpg and work perfectly with the game, for me it's a great pad.

I hope Capcom will quikly fix the online and do something for ragequit... For some players, points are like their lives...

Yet ANOTHER good Karin fucking my shit up all over the place. I don't get this matchup at all. Maybe Cammy is destined to get wrecked by her until the next balance patch.

Sooo uhhhh... I'm currently 8 ranked wins in a row.....

I guess that one poster was right, tons of (mainly PC) players picking Ken and ryu. I'm not mad at them or anything, just kinda weird.

Funny thing is, I'm playing Ken right now! Lmfao!

Sounds like your internet connection, johns aside.

If your execution is on point, display is responsive (Under 15ms minimum) the last thing that could impact your play is online lag.

With my flint stone internet (5mb) I know online play isn't an optimal environment to gauge my performance. Then again it'd take a move for me to get better internet.

Need to find a local scene to get real practice in.

I'm thinking of investing into a stick. Got my eye on the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai. Anyone has experience with this one? The reviews look good but I don't really know what I should look out for in a stick.

It's a great stick!!! The Hayabusa stick inside it is Hori's attempt at an arcade/Sanwa quality stick and for me, it exceeds Sanwa. Definitely my current favorite. The Kuro buttons are also proprietary, and while good, I still prefer Sanwas. You can swap in Sanwas really easily if you wanted though the Kuros are fine, especially if you haven't experienced the difference.

K, cool. I added you on PSN. Though I tried to add your ID, FancyClown, but couldn't find it? Did you type it out wrong?

Hmmm that's weird, I don't think so. I'll check.

The EX bar is used to do EX moves and Super moves. EX moves are performed the same way as normal special moves, but you press two punches or two kicks instead of just one. They have improved properties like more damage, faster speed, or invincibility. If you have a full meter you can do a super move, which does a bunch of damage but uses up the entire thing. Most of the characters can combo into their supers, but generally speaking its usually a more efficient use of your EX meter to use it on EX special moves.

The meter below the life bar is a stun meter. As you hit enemies, it fills up. If it fills up all the way they are stunned, which lets you get in a free hit (so you should use that opportunity to do the most damage you can). The meter will go down if you go a second or two without attacking them, though, so keep the pressure on when you've built it up.

Ah gotcha, thanks for the info

I am now realizing people will do whatever it takes to get a win. Mash jab, constantly sweep, whatever. But hey, a win is a win, right?

A win is in fact a win, and if you can't deal with a player whose strategy is just "mash jab" or "constantly sweep" then that's kind of on you tbh

I have this stick. It's a great stick and the joystick itself feels great. No complaints so far.

Allright, sounds good, thanks! Is it plug and play with the PC version or would I need a program to make it work?

Just returned to home after work, how is the servers? Are they still fucked? anyone interested to play some matches (europe region)?

Still fucked. Games take awhile to show up. Lobbies are completely done. As in u can't stay in one without getting kicked.

Matchmaking if set to 4-5 usually does OK, but like I said it takes forever.
