She knows how this movie ends. There's no elegant, clean way out of this process for the GOP. They either nominate an unelectable madman, or they steal the nomination from him, splintering the party. Either scenario carries a very real risk of losing the Senate, the White House, the whole judiciary, maybe even the House.

The GOP is entering nightmare territory. And she knows it.
Until I see this happen, I just don't believe it. Their head has been in the sand the past 8 years, why change it now?

Can we claim Oklahoma as part of the South so I can point to this Sanders win the next time a bunch of obnoxious college yanks talk about how the South needs to be nuked from orbit?

No? Oh well, I tried.

But yeah, this win to me means Oklahoma is probably more white than I realized.

HARRY ENTEN 9:16 PM
NBC News has called Oklahoma for Sanders. That’s his second win of the evening, and it’s not a huge surprise. The state has very few black voters in it, but a win is a win.

Are the GOP seriously considering nuking their presidential nominee if it's Trump? Could you imagine a convention where Rubio is crowned the nominee despite Trump winning the most votes?

We'd have a Democratic president for the next few decades.

They can't. No freaking way because Trump will go independent and they are fucked.

Trump has the GOP by the balls.

That's assuming Trump can't get the majority before the convention, right? Isn't that the real nightmare scenario -- that there's absolutely no way to stop him?

I liked Hillary's speech. Honestly Bernie's speeches are kind of getting stale at this point. Feeling good about the eventual Hillary win even as a Bernie supporter.

Yup, Bernie needs to up his speech game definitely. Needs to get down from the ideological stratosphere and connect with people on a personal level. But I don't get how anyone could feel good about someone else taking your candidate's position – that's a short-term move and Hillary will most likely jettison the progressive concerns once she gets into the general or into the Presidency.

I dont seem them nuking Trump as a nominee, they're too desperate to control the country to give up that many voters, even if it involves the biggest name whore in human history

Oklahoma was Indian Territory during the Civil War so while it's culturally very Southern and Bible Beltish it also wouldn't be the kind of state that would actually fly the Confederate flag.

We can at least say we're better than Mississippi and Alabama.

The midwest/tornado belt is white as hell (and hugely segregated), isn't it?

Tulsa is actually fairly well integrated in the east and northeast parts of town. There's a small pocket of African-Americans around Greenwood (the area that got destroyed during the race riot) but otherwise the racial mixing is okay otherwise. I couldn't really speak for OKC.

is there math that allows anyone aside from trump and clinton to be the candidate for their respective parties?

Well, everyone but Cruz dropping out could give Cruz a chance. And we may get an open convention... But Sander isn't looking good unless he wins a lot more.

Contrary to the common wisdom here on GAF, I actually think the Dem Primary going longer is good for the democrats. You dont want to give all the free election media to the republicans like what was happening in 2015.

I have a feeling Trump is going to announce something big tonight.

"Press conference"...hmm.

And that venue looks like a supervillain's lair.

I mean, Bernie is my man as well, but I never lost sight of the fact that his job was to force Clinton left.

He has done and is continuing to do a splendid job.

Yeah, people shouldn't downplay Sanders' role in this election. He's exactly the challenger I hoped Clinton would face, because I figured she'll go as far left as the votes fall.

I just hope she stays there during the General. It'd be mildly hilarious if once free of the primaries both she and Trump end up falling closer to center.

Rubio is currently below 20% in four states, including Texas. That’s a disaster; it’ll dramatically circumscribe his delegate accumulation, if it holds.

Didn't the Minnesota polls close 30 minutes ago?

Where are the results?

I feel like they are still voting/counting. Unless they actually cut off the votes right at 8PM, I can't see them being done yet as there was a line several blocks long for the Republican caucus I walked by earlier today.

Just think of us as Texas' younger brother. I really think that Bernie being in OKC and Tulsa last weekend really helped.

So long as Trump is in the race, he'll get the most media time. Period.

"The GOP have the choice of either shooting themselves or poisoning themselves." CNN

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I think they're gonna go with the hallucinogenic drug OD and stick to Rubio.

honestly ted cruz is doing more damage to marco roboto at this point than trump is. Cruz should just work to finish rubio off over the next week.

Rumor was Trump was going to declare victory tonight and refuse to attend any further debates. Won't be surprised if his "event" is something to do with that.
