New Batman V Superman Trailer (Korean, new footage, no spoilers)

Doomsday reveal neutered all the excitement and tension of a Batman v Superman fight since we were shown they're all chummy.

Yes we knew they'd join forces but seeing it made all the hype about their fight evaporate.

Since then they've kept Doomsday away from the trailers and hyped up the fight again and it's been to the benefit of the films exposure.

I honestly don't understand this train of logic. If you KNEW and yes, everyone knew, that they would join forces by the end of the movie, why does seeing 1-2 scenes of said moment ruin anything? Do you have that little imagination?

No way this happens mate. Snyder is a huge Superman fan and basically said cmon and laughed when asked if Batman can beat Supes at a comicon or some event. Just hope Superman doesn't humiliate him once the traps are done, that's my expectation at the moment. :\

Snyder: I LIED

I don't expect humiliation. Superman don't roll like that. The moment he sees Batman struggle, he'll offer him a hand up. Even if the fight gets nasty. Superman doesn't kick people when they're down. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if Superman ends up tanking some damage for Batman that otherwise would've killed him while they're still fighting.
The fact that Superman doesn't kick people when they're down is why they can have a fight at all. Batman uses that to his advantage in their fights (like putting Lois in danger to break him out of Ivy's mind control)

Although smashing Bruce through a building seems pretty aggressive for Supes

Even if you know the movie is just taking you for a ride, seeing the end result of it in a trailer months before the movie hits does take some of the wind out of the sails.

Like, obviously we know the JL will be starting to form by the end of the movie, should they go ahead and give us the team lineup shot in a TV spot?

It honestly doesn't matter and doesn't ruin anything. There is still plenty we don't know about the movie and it hasn't hindered anyones excitement to go see it. The simple fact that Lex is in the movie lets you know he's ultimately a reason these people might team up.

Your average moviegoer doesn't sit around and watch every single piece of media that's released. The people still complaining about the Doomsday reveal are people on forums. By and large most people don't care anymore and ready to watch the movie.

You also know they are going to fight. Does it ruin it for you to see the stand off?

Obviously we knew that Batman and Superman would team up at some point, since a JL movie is in the works. That doesnt mean it has to happen in this movie though. The JL movie could have started with them still enemies but then some huge bad shows up and they realize that they have to put aside their differences and work together for the good of the world. Give us 2 hours plus of Bats and Sup going at it in this movie. They really could have even just left it up in the air until the movie came out, seemed silly to me to show them definitely working together in a movie called Batman Vs Superman.

Never been a fan of Snyder's visual style. It's inelegant and overproduced.

Agreed. It's too easy to tell the difference between one of his real location shots and his cgi constructed action shots. The latter just look like they take place in an entirely different world.

The subtitle is "Dawn of Justice."

It's clearly been meant to be a Justice League origin story since the beginning.

Very true. On both counts.

Yeah, I don't think this was meant to be a secret at all.

Maybe, but we don't know how angry he is at that point.

That's not what I said at all. This isn't the end result they "spoiled".

It's a subjective thing. I teared up in TDK when Batman reveals himself to Gordon.

Wow, I guess I had no idea that people had reactions like that to these movies. I love comic book movies but I never imagined being emotional like that. I am super curious what happens in the movie that people would tear up at.

Obviously, Bruce and Clark marry, and Dick is the groom.

Everybody has their own emotional triggers. Some people don't tear up at dramatic films at all, whilst having emotional responses to material others wouldn't even think about.

I cried watching Groundhog day a few weeks back. Creed got me bad too. Superman Returns nearly got me when he was being beaten down, too.

For those of you who don't go into the DCEU thread, know that there are leaked pics out in the wild. So watch out if you're avoiding spoilers

Me too, several times. People shit on that movie, but it got me emotionally attached to Superman, a character that I thought was one of the most boring superheroes ever.

Am in the wrong thread ?

General Zod's amazing acting during his trial left fans in tears. It was almost like he was playing a coked up Michael Shannon with horrible dialog.

This movie looking nice. Doomsday as a midboss lol, and I really like this version of Lex. I initially wasn't into Batfleck but I am warmed up to it now. Can't wait for this. =)

Am I the only one who felt like they let DOWN Shannon...like he was good......for reasons.

But he could've been better nee compelling. Anyone ? Anyone ? Anyone ?.....

I mean for one....he kind of had a valid reason to go batshit at the end and I loved Shannon during the trial. (not for the reasons they intended...) It's still a fun watch.....with a question mark.

Are people really surprised that Batman and Superman join up at the end? Not even taking into account the Dawn of Justice subtitle but it's not exactly a surprise to see them co-operate.

i'm not trying to say it's nonsensical, or unworthy of discussion, just that I haven't seen or heard of it before. that's all. carry on.

... What? Film is a visual medium. Of course people will talk about how a film looks.
