Dunno why people are putting such a high premium on their presumed reaction to Doomsday's introduction in the film.

"They put Doomsday in the trailer!"
"So?"
"So it could have been a surprise!"
"Would you really have been surprised?"
"Yes!"
"No you wouldn't. The film is going to make it super-fucking-clear long before it happens that Doomsday is coming."
"But now I'm not surprised at all"
"You were never going to be surprised. This isn't a surprise. It's not meant to be."

I'm pretty pissed that they have shown Batman and Superman fighting in the trailers.

Imagine the surprise to the audience during the movie.

At this point it doesn't really seem like the problem is the lack of surprise. People seem to just not like seeing it at all before the movie. I sort of get it in regards to something heavy like the lineup shot for JL, but the reveal of Doomsday? No.

Then don't fucking watch trailers

It's that simple lol

I don't expect humiliation. Superman don't roll like that. The moment he sees Batman struggle, he'll offer him a hand up. Even if the fight gets nasty. Superman doesn't kick people when they're down. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if Superman ends up tanking some damage for Batman that otherwise would've killed him while they're still fighting.

This is why I don't buy the premise. Not only their strength differs, Superman is not the type to put 100% effort on someone who's clearly not on his power level. To me it's like professional wrestler letting some amateur teen beat him up a bit just because said teen has anger issues.

Haha batmans backing up like he's one of those "oh shit. It was a prank bro. It's a prank" guys

Supes never goes 100% in his fights with Batman. He almost never goes 100% in any fight. That's like the whole reason he and Bats can have fights. And it's more akin to a guerrilla force talking on a superior heavily-armed enemy. The guerrilla force relies on decoys and deception and hit-&-run strikes to do damage; they never attack directly

still not buying Wonderwoman. her and Luther seem to be awfully miscast.

Everything heard so far says Gadot absolutely nails it. I don't see how she's miscast visually she's WW to me. Now I just have to see the movie, but again a lot of what we've heard about her is super positive.

When did they make it clear Doomsday is coming? Honest question.

As far as Batman goes, Batman Returns

That has the best production design of any superhero movie really but I think on a film perspective (the way its shot) the dark knight might be the best looking one to me.

Pfister did some good stuff with that. Also watchmen and superman Returns belongs in that discussion.

Fuck man Burton's sets and costumes were on point in the 90s. Would have really liked to see his superman movie out of curiosity

Wow, I guess I had no idea that people had reactions like that to these movies. I love comic book movies but I never imagined being emotional like that. I am super curious what happens in the movie that people would tear up at.

I cry every week watching The Flash, no lie.

That moment when Batman fans realise the truth.
Take a marker and draw four equal sides with four equal angles, that's what batman is - a square mark.

Batman fans realize the truth though. Batman is weaker than Superman and would likely lose... but that does not make Batman any less cooler and not the greatest superhero of all time :)

My ticket is bought for the 23rd of march but im still not sure if I will go or just refund the ticket....

The leaked reviews so far all says the same thing....

If you loved man of steel you will love this....

I HATED man of steel.... like, hard

Go. There's a new writer and Gal, Ben, and Jessie are supposed to be great.

Visually? I'd say Gadot is not muscular enough for the role. I've always imagined WW as a tall, muscular & toned woman. You know, an Amazonian warrior....someone physically intimidating. As far as acting ability goes, she'll do fine for a supporting cast member.

He's saying that they're going to make it clear in the movie well in advance of when he actually appears.

Which is silly because that statement doesn't even address the other poster's point of the trailer spoiling Doomsday being in the movie. I haven't been following a gas too closely and I didn't know Doomsday would be in it.

Haven't seen this shit in awhile now.

I'm in the same boat, though I haven't purchased a ticket yet. Fortunately my local theater with seating selection recently opened up two more showings on Thursday which are still virtually empty so I think I have time to wait on official reviews before buying a ticket.

I thought MoS was middling overall but still bought advance tickets for next Friday. I hope Terrio & Batfleck don't let me down and even though I have my reservations with Snyder, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
