Oh wow the voice setup for Miimoto is actually pretty cool. It gives you a graph with Speed, pitch, Depth, Accent and Energy and you can make voices that range from little kids to old badass deep voices. And they don't sound too robotic! It also has ways to do the delivery of the phrases. Wonder if this will be used throughout the whole system. Edit: Never mind, it gets pretty robotic when reading normal phrases, hahah.

I will check some more during my work break. Oh well!

I'm guessing it's the same thing as Tomodachi Life?

Excuse me for my ignorance, but do you need to use the app or is there a website I can use? Also anyone know what time this is launching? Midnight?

edit: Wait, is My Nintendo and Miitomo seperate things? For some reason I thought they were the same.

My Nintendo is Nintendo's rewards system. You can earn points (which can be redeemed for rewards) via a variety of activities including through using Miitomo, a social app on iOS and Android.

There is no date announced for regions outside of Japan yet, but for many countries it was initially announced to be releasing in March after Japan's release date.

The wait for Miitomo and the MyNintendo service to launch in North America is going to be excruciating...ugh.

See you guys in April I guess.

Oh, okay I hope My Nintendo launches here soon.

Can you queer it up this time, or is it still no-homo? I know there was a push for gay relationships for the 3DS release in the west at any rate. Nintendo did say this...

But this technically isn't the Tomodachi series, so...

When I was talking about it being the same, I was referring to the character creation, with the characters speaking and stuff.
I'm not sure Miitomo really has relationships and stuff in it like Tomodachi Life, it's more of a glorified SNS.

Gotcha. Honestly, this is one of the few titles I have been on like total blackout on till now, because I want to see what a Non-Nintendo hardware mobile game is going to be like in the end.

Really hoping this comes out soon here. Now that we know points from purchases won't count until the app is officially released, I'm waiting on Pokken, Fire Emblem, and Hyrule Warriors 3DS until it's out. Hopefully it's not a long wait

Anyone get it to startup on an rooted Android phone?

I tried to region switch a few devices got to the page but it said it was incompatible, so I am waiting for an .apk to try some more.

Edit: Even with rootcloak via Xposed Framework, tis a no go...black screen then "this application has stopped"

I know this will be somewhat successful from the curiosity factor of Nintendo on mobile alone, but I still don't know why this is something people actually want to use. Its way more awkward than existing social networks, a layer of abstraction wrapped in IAP.
Its like a simulation game and social network.. together.

Just finished watching. This is basically Tomodachi Life. I got scared on the part to buy coins with real money but it seems you can also earn coins just by doing stuff on the app, switching clothes from your closet and so on. Looks cool. Now we should wait to see how it works once you add friends and stuff. I think it could reach more people if it was more simplified. Right now it looks too saturated with stuff and options all over.

Do you get to use Miis on Twitter?

I didn't think so

Downloaded this and played around with it a bit. It's very nice. Easy to use interface, nice music, has that Nintendo charm. This is definitely an app made by Nintendo. It's just... I don't see myself using this a lot. There's not that much fun stuff to do here.

I'm more curious about Nintendo's other coming apps, I hope those will be more like actual games.

Fuck me, those IAP prices. Seems like they're coming out of the gates with harpoons in hand on this one, huh?

Gonna download anyway

Okay just looking around on Twitter Miitomo looks like a ton of fun. The really cute concept is probably going to have me playing it for at least a little bit

Miitomo definitely has mini-games in it.

Anyone on iPhone have any issues loading this app up? I'm on a jailbroken iOS 9.0.2 iPhone 5 and it crashes immediately. I have tried changing the iPhone language, rebooting, restarting, and opening it in safe mode countless times yet I can't seem to find a way to play it. Really disappointing.

Pretty cute so far. I like my little guy. Wish there was an easier way to add specific people if they're not in the same room.
